Saul’s Conversion

Open Your Bible

Acts 9:1-31, Psalm 25:8-11, Galatians 1:11-16

Physical affliction has a way of refocusing how we see life. Whether the consequence of sin or merely living in a fallen world, suffering produces the kind of clarity we might not have the capacity to receive any other way. Temporary loss of physical faculties can result in a permanent shift in spiritual perspective. But let’s be honest: Affliction is rarely our chosen means of hard-won wisdom.

Saul, Pharisee and persecutor of Christians, needed a shift in perspective himself—a gross understatement, of course. He seethed with anger toward followers of the Way, “breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord” (Acts 9:1). Thoroughly committed to the imprisonment and suffering of Christians, he set about the land in a hunt for those who loved Jesus (v.2–3). That’s what put him on the road to Damascus, and that’s where he encountered the real target of his persecution: Jesus Christ.

The scene begins with an image that reminds me of something from an action film: a helicopter chase from the sky, spotlighting the criminal on the ground in active pursuit. At the flashing light and voice from heaven (vv.3–4), Saul was dumbfounded, falling to the ground as he heard, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” (v.4). Though he didn’t know who was confronting him, Saul understood the authority of the one speaking, so he answered, “Who are you, Lord?” an address signifying reverence.

“I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting,” he replied. “But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
—Acts 9:5–6

The irony is not lost on me. The hunter had become the hunted. Jesus blinded Saul for three days and told him to finish his journey to Damascus (vv.6–9). By the time the scales fell from Saul’s eyes, sight restored and filled with the Holy Spirit, his fervor once set against Jesus Christ was forever submitted to the will of the Lord (v.20). Extraordinary!

It’s a brilliant, strategic move, using Saul as an “instrument” to spread the gospel (vv.15–16). But this is also a story of unfathomable mercy and personal gospel transformation. Saul (also known as Paul) was physically humbled in order to receive the gospel revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:12). Blinding him was God’s chosen means through which Saul could finally see Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah.

Oh, that humanity wouldn’t need to suffer in order to truly see. Not all suffering is caused by our own short-sighted sin or by God, but all pain has the power to make us more like Jesus, the Suffering Servant who is our Savior (Isaiah 53). Empowered by the Holy Spirit, may we submit our will to His in all circumstances, drawn not to isolation, but into deeper communion with the one who has overcome the world (John 16:33).

The story of Paul’s conversion is truly remarkable. He was a man living a life on a rampage against Christianity and he was stopped in his tracks, brought to his knees and completely transformed by God. if there ever was encouragement in scripture to preserve in prayer for our loved ones that don’t know Jesus or have turned away, this is it. No one is beyond the hope and reach of being rescued by the saving grace and forgiveness of Jesus. Don’t give up. Don’t stop praying. Our awesome God is still the God who can change everything and everyone.

  11. Meagan C says:

Paul’s life as a Christian was met with so many trials and so much pain, and yet he pursued loving and preaching Jesus with the same ardent passion he had pursued persecuting Him and His followers. I pray for a heart that doesn’t lose sight of of the glory of God. I pray for boldness even in the face of suffering. Thank you Lord Jesus for your forgiveness and love!

I feel at a loss for words. I feel so lost period. I’m trying so hard to find the joy and hope. I’m in the suffering season and I’m trying to see the light through the darkness. I pray for guidance and submission to His will.., not mine.

    1. Searching says:

Praying, sister, in this hard time that you will hold on tightly to Jesus, The Light and our Light who will overcome any darkness we face. Praying for God’s guidance and revealing of His will at this time in your life. He is always working on our behalf and I have a sign “Do not worry about tomorrow … God is already there.” The Lord is ALWAYS with us, He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6, 31:8; Joshua 1:5; 1 Chronicles 28:20; Hebrews 13:5). ❤️

    2. MM Dent says:

I am so sorry that you are in this rough, dark season, Chrissy. Continue to follow Him, immersing yourself in His word and praying. Child of God, you are His and you are loved. He is our Anchor, He is our Hope, He is our Bright and Morning Star. I’m praying for your peace through trust and surrender of all the darkness holding you captive and that you can lean into the rest, comfort and love that He holds for you.

    3. Lynne from Alabama says:

Precious Chrissy, my heart goes out to you. I’m so sorry you are going through this hard time. One of my favorite scriptures for hard times is this: Psalm 94:16–19

      ESV

16 who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
17 if the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
18 When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
19 When the cares of my heart are many,
      your consolations cheer my soul.
Praying God’s peace and strength for you. ❤️

    4. Cee Gee says:

Dear sister, I have been in a similar place, but unlike you I had no sisters in my corner at the time, no church family to lean on, but God revealed Himself to mebin a special way when I finally called out to Him. I didn’t have this verse back then to focus on, but a few years later I adopted it as “my verse”: Psalm 16:8 NLT- I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
Agreeing in our sister’s beautifully worded prayers! You are loved and we are here for you! ❤

    5. Mia Faith says:

Crissy, I am praying for you. Dark times have a way of taking over everything. The Psalms led me through some of my darkest days.

    6. Mercy says:

One day at a time sister. I recommend reading Psalm 23 slowly and let that sink in. It might take time for situation to shift but God is always the ever present Help in times of trouble. Praying over you. You are loved and so precious. Dont give up ok. The light will come as surely as the sun will rise.

  14. Mercy says:

Happy Friday yall. Thank you so much for your prayers. I am feeling much better today. What a blessing to ponder on your thoughts on today’s reading. I noticed Paul did a 3-day dry fast (“neither ate or drank” Acts 9:9) right after he met the Lord- the Light that blinded him. That is a big sign of repentance and sacrifice. That really amazed me. I have never attempted a dry fast before. It was reported to be very hard on the mind. Without water is really hard on the liver as well. Paul is a tough cookie. He committed. I pray you all have a nice weekend and joining our sisters in prayers for the requests presented. Hugs and love to you all. Be blessed dear sisters.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Glad you are feeling better. Is this your shortest post ever? lol. Where’s my Spirit led commentary?!
I am fasting…and yes, hard. Do not recommend NO WATER. (which I know you’re not!)

    2. Cee Gee says:

So glad you are feeling better! ❤

    3. Kristy says:

Right after he met the Lord. I didn’t make that connection earlier, I am going to go back tomorrow and reread. Thank you!

  15. Tami says:

When Tyler Staton, author of “Praying like monks, Living like fools” was in MS – he spent an entire summer walking laps around his middle school here on Long Island with the school directory (remember those?) and prayed for each and every study to come to know Jesus every day for the entire summer. On the first day back to school he started a club for followers of Jesus, meeting at 6:30am weekly. He would flip open the page of his Bible, write a few lines and then talk to the kids about it. He said it was a “recipe for disaster” but he had one thing going for him “prayer”. He continued praying for his classmates using the directory. By the end of the year, 1/3 of his 8th grade class had come to know Jesus. He calls this either “ludicrous” or “completely breathtaking”. Only God! I know we have many prodigals here. If you would like to join me to commit as a group to pray like Tyler did, leave the names of your prodigals in tomorrow’s comments. I will make a list and then share with anyone else who is interested. Let’s see what God does:)

    1. Tami says:

      *each and every student. Typo

    2. Lynne from Alabama says:

Sounds like a great idea, Tami! I am praying for many of them by name every day (including your Chela) but would like to pray for all. ❤️

  16. Kristy says:

So many opposed to The Way, Lord may I never give up on people. You still transform lives today. You still remove scales. May the people in our world so opposed to light have their Damascus Road encounter that shocks the world and causes others to see the gospel transformation and BELIEVE! You have never lost a battle, you can do more than we could ever ask think or imagine.

    1. Tami says:

      Amen Kristy!

  17. Lara Castillo says:

What struck me today was Ananias- I pray that I can be obedient like that. I know that I would be so afraid to approach Saul with the danger it could bring. And lowering Paul in a basket over the wall!! Just wow!

  18. Julie Northam says:

There’s a docuseries I found on Amazon Prime a few weeks ago about Acts. Isn’t it funny how God works? It’s called ‘Drive Thru History: Acts to Revelation.’ It’s been neat to follow along with this Bible reading.

    1. Lara Castillo says:

Julie Northam- thanks! I’m going to look for that show.

    2. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, we watched it! I shared on here too b/c it’s so good!! He has another on the life of Jesus, can’t remember the name! It’s cool because it’s biblical, but also shows how historian books line up as well. And it shows Paul’s travels in such a great way. What the places look like today, then with technology he can show you what it might have looked like back then! Simply amazing! I told my husband it’s almost better than going there myself! Glad you shared it again!
There was also a show on there about Paul and his conversion. It’s older but still good for us that love visual stories.

  19. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

…”all pain has the power to make us more like Jesus…” I would do well to remember this!

I never tire of reading the account of Paul’s conversion. It was amazing, immediate and a “God thing”. Only God could have changed him from a murderer of Christians, to a Christ follower!
    .
The testimony of Paul’s conversion encourages me to remember that nothing is impossible with God. Things that “could never happen”, happen. Things unheard of, things that are too hard.
    .
As many of you know, I have two adult sons that walked away from the faith they were raised in. Recently I have begun to pray for a “Damascus road” conversion for them. To some it would seem impossible – but with God nothing is. He is greater, He is stronger, He is able to do what no one else can – change the hearts and minds of those who reject Him. This gives me hope! I will continue to pray believing and wait expectantly.

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” Psalm 5:3

Just a side note: God didn’t change Saul’s name to Paul, Saul’s name was also Paul. It was custom in those days to have dual names. From Acts 13:9 and on is when Saul is always referred to as Paul in scripture.

I continue to pray for all you moms who also have prodigals, and for them – may God open their eyes and bring them all home to Him and the faith they once knew.
    .
Happy Friday to all my She sisters! You are loved! ❤️

    1. Tami says:

I join you in praying for our prodigals to have a Damascus road experience.

    2. Rhonda J. says:

It’s sometimes a scary prayer, because it could include pain, or something hard. I had prayed that for my nephew the last few years, and now, he might just be in the midst of his Damascus Road experience. I am praying he WILL find Jesus. In jail…I said (which may not be the right thing to say–) if it took coming here to start reading your Bible for the first time or in a very long time, then I am glad you are here. Meaning…their Spiritual growth/salvation is more important than anything!

  20. Tanya Evans says:

The BIG take away from today’s reading is a question: can you be truly saved without an encounter with Jesus Christ? I know that not everyone is going to have the blinded by the light and audible voice Saul of Tarsus experience.
It does make me sad when some of the “celebrity christians” recant. These people have a lot of influence on they youth. One day they wake up and say,” I don’t believe anymore.”
I am not one to judge anyone ‘s salvation experience. The Bible does say in the last days many will fall away.
The number one factor for me is; is MY salvation experience based on me and my encountering Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit.
God works in many ways to meet us where we are in our lives. One of my Jewish friends because he did not want “to be the oddball” did christian activities with the other teens at his school. However, he never had an encounter with Christ or believe in Jesus Christ. He just wanted to be accepted. We talked about this. He knew how to say all the phrases but he just followed the crowd.

I am really thinking aloud about what spoke to me. It was that encounter with Christ. Even the thief on the cross had the encounter with Christ. I totally get how he can say, ” Depart from me I never knew you.”

  21. Rhonda J says:

I feel like I replied to so many of your comments that I don’t need a separate one—But I have to, because this is one of my favorite passages!! The conversion of Paul!! There are just so many messages and truths in this bundle! We all have a conversion story! Some know the exact moment and situation, but some like Tami, it isn’t so clear(which is fine!) We have a before and after testimony! How I was before, and now after. As I go to jail, I often tell them I was the same as them, living life in the flesh, I just never got caught. We all did things we regret! We all were living apart from God! And he doesn’t show favoritism, he loves them, you, and me ALL the Same!! It’s easy to look down on people, even if it is evil. Paul was evil…KILLING people! But God- He loved Paul and knew he would be the one to change people’s lives and views just like we can be!! Are we willing to do that…or are we just keeping it to ourselves? I would hate to get to heaven and him ask me…what did I do with what I knew? Um…nothing Lord…I’m sorry…was I supposed to? hmmm, no, I was too busy living for myself, but I still loved you and worshiped you. No…what did you do for me…did you go and tell others?
YES…I did finally! But all that wasted time! lol.
Many of us have said here we wish we would have known all we know now in our earlier years! I love seeing our young adults on fire for the Lord! But God, “He works all things for good for those that love him, and called for his purposes!!”
He is so good to give us a Saul conversion, a Peter conversion, or a woman at the well conversion! But whatever conversion we have…Let’s be sharing it with divine encounters God gives us for that moment!! OR start something!! God wants us to be an ACTIVE Christ-follower!! What can you do with your testimony?? Pray about that!! That is how jail ministries start, and small groups start—Freedom, Enduring chronic pain (LOVE, thank you Jesus), Divorce care, Single moms…what’s the group YOU can start to pull in others in your community?!
    Today is your confirmation!!

    1. Tami says:

Rhonda you really need to start a podcast called “Butterflies”:)

      1. Rhonda J. says:

Aw! What a thought! I have had the thought about a future book called “Letters from Jail” (by Rhonda J. lol!!) – to show transformation over time in their letters, and how God uses them where they are! To give hope to Believers that have loved ones in jail or prison. And now that I have my own love one in prison…it gives ME hope!!! Oh I love God!! How He prepares us to do His will!! I just heard from a Butterfly that I found on FB last May and messaged….and I heard back from her today!!! And she thanked me and the team of the wonderful work we are doing for those broken!! OH MY HEART!!

  22. Jamie Trice says:

“Blinding him was God’s means through which Saul could finally see Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah.” WOW, sometimes it takes God doing something extraordinary for us to see what is right in front of us.

  23. Cheryl Blow says:

The story of Saul is such a great example for us to not count out anyone from salvation and to keep believing and praying for them. I pray I will be obedient like Ananias to God’s call to pray for whoever He calls me to reach out to for Him!

Praying for all! Have a blessed day!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, that’s a good point Cheryl! And how he laid hands on him to receive the Holy Spirit! We should always be ready to share, pray for, or do whatever the Lord prompts us to do for another!! I like being a part of altar prayer for this reason. It is humbling to be able to pray for someone that comes up in need (like Paul!)

  24. Traci Gendron says:

I love this story. To think of how God used Saul is amazing. I remember when I surrendered to God. I was on the floor in my sunroom sobbing. Crying out to God. I knew I needed Him so badly. The change is slow. I take steps forward and then back a bit. BUT I am more thankful for my relationship with God than anything in my life.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, agreed! I too, remember the moment I hit my knees in despair, and knew I needed help from the Lord!

      1. Traci Gendron says:

        XO

  25. Maria B says:

It is very easy for us to accept Paul’s conversion because we know the full story. But I don’t know if I would’ve been very welcoming after everything he had done— he was a Christian hunter. I understand the suspicion of the disciples with him now claiming to follow Jesus. But I also think that Jesus used this opportunity to reaffirm to the disciples that He forgives all sins, as long as the person truly repents and accepts Jesus. This is such a nuances time for the disciples, I really wish we could have more insight into their interactions with Paul.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

It’s true. I know this story, but we still in our humanness we don’t want to give people grace. Doing jail ministry has truly put me in a place of having to accept them as Jesus does, despite what they might have done, if they have come to Jesus, I must give grace too.

      1. Donna Wolcott says:

Rhonda, my past prison ministry (with men) taught me that also. Not to judge but meet them where they were at in their faith journey. So many in for life, and wanting to be assured with faith they too were saved.

        1. Rhonda J. says:

          (heart)

You must have gained so much wisdom and blessings being a part of their journey!

  26. Melissa Vandiver says:

  27. LaRae Taylor says:

  28. Cee Gee says:

For the glory of God, Paul experienced GRACE upon GRACE!

WARREN WIERSBE SAYS of Galatians 1:7-
“Grace gives us the strength we need to be victorious soldiers (2 Tim. 2:1–4). Grace enables us to suffer without complaining, and even to use that suffering for God’s glory (2 Cor. 12:1–10). When a Christian turns away from living by God’s grace, he must depend on his own power. This leads to failure and disappointment.”

James 1:2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Quick comment this morning as we are headed out of town for husband’s eye appointment. Hopefully I can read your conments on the phone! It’s 18 degrees here, y’all!!!!!

    Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤❤❤

    1. Traci Gendron says:

James was a book that helped me through Tanner’s illness. It kept me from looking at myself as a victim. I was chosen to be Tanner’s mom for a reason.

      1. Cee Gee says:

Oh, Traci, thank you for sharing that! That’s a great takeaway! ❤

  29. Kimberly says:

Saul’s conversion reminds me that God often brings humility before clarity. Saul had to be blinded, emptied of self-reliance, and brought to complete dependence before he could truly see who Jesus is and what he was being called to do. In that place of surrender, God revealed truth, extended forgiveness, and redirected his life with purpose. This shows me that God still works this way today, graciously humbling us, opening our eyes, and then sending us forward to live out His mission.
    .
Lord, thank You for Your grace that meets me where I am and changes me from the inside out. Help me to live with gratitude for that grace, and shape in me a willing heart to speak Your truth, to serve others faithfully, and to endure whatever comes for the sake of Christ.
    .
    Amen

  30. Searching says:

Saul’s mind had to have been swirling with all kinds of thoughts and prayers on that walk into Damascus and as he fasted the 3 days that he was blind. Maybe everything from, what?! Jesus IS the Messiah?!!! to Lord, please forgive me – for disbelieving who You are, the threats and murders.
    .
He saw The Light … literally on the Damascus road and figuratively that Jesus truly was the Messiah sent from God himself. He spent ‘some’ days with the disciples and ‘immediately’ preached Jesus in the synagogues, proving that Jesus is the Christ – through the revelation of Jesus Christ Himself (Galatians 1:12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ), empowered by the Holy Spirit and, for the people’s benefit, backed up by their previous recognition of his impeccable pedigree and in-depth knowledge of God’s word. Then, as Kara mentioned in the devo, the hunter became the hunted … and stood strongly in his faith. May we all.
    .
This 180° turnaround continues to give me hope as I pray for the lost, especially those who outright reject Jesus as unneeded in their lives. Many of these are some of my favorite and much loved people, praying today is the day they come to know Jesus as their Savior.
    .
Anne Wilson’s song My Jesus comes to mind,
“Ain’t no sinner that He can’t save
Let me tell you ’bout my Jesus”

MERCY ❤️ more great insight, thank you. Praying for quick healing of these symptoms and misery, sister.
RHONDA J ❤️ praying for speedy healing of the removal area, be sure to get good nourishment in whatever way works til then.

If you want to dig even deeper Galatians chapter 1 has more information on Paul’s experience here in this chapter

Yes! I could not stop reading Galatians with one passage!

  32. Carla says:

Good morning friends, I’m here to ask for prayers for my niece Tammy, who begins another phase of her chemo treatments. This round could have allergic reactions on top of what she is already experiencing. Please pray for her.
Also, an update on the couple from my church with marital problems. They began couples therapy yesterday, which is a good sign. I thank you all who lifted Ryan and Kristy in prayer.
What a blessing it is to have this community of believers!

    1. Searching says:

Prayer for your niece as she begins another phase of chemo, that she would not have allergic reaction and that what she is already experiencing would be relieved. Praying for Ryan and Kristy, that the hard work of counseling will guide them to resolution of issues and renewed commitment to their marriage.

      1. Pam Fite says:

        Amen!

      2. Rhonda J says:

Yes, praying with Searching and others!

  33. Kelly (NEO) says:

I don’t recall if we have any idea how long Saul was in Damascus but what struck me was in 9:25, it was his disciples who helped him escape the city.
His teachings about Jesus had already produced a following.
    .
Love Ananias! Such courage and trust in God to go to the man who had come for him and other believers. His obedience was Saul’s first experience of the love of Christ, he even called Saul “brother”!
    .
CEE GEE – thanks for asking, my mom got through to the right person and funds should be to her next week, including the premium they withdrew after being notified of his death.
    .
ADRIENNE – any updates on Matt? Praying.

    1. Searching says:

      ❤️

    2. Cee Gee says:

That’s such praiseworthy news, Kelly!!! Whoop whoop!❤❤❤

  34. michelle sherrard says:

I find Saul’s conversion it just absolutely RADIANT and OVERFLOWING with God’s UNCONDITIONAL love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, acceptance and radiance. TRULY a POWERFUL testimony that God CAN and WILL use ANYONE who is willing to confess their sins, ask HIM for forgiveness and take residence in their heart. I just LOVE how God uses people without regard to their past. Makes the Gospel MUCH more relatable and personable. Thank You, God for Your undying love, grace, mercy and forgiveness

    1. Rhonda J says:

Yes AMEN!! That is why I love jail ministry..NO one is too bad! We ALL were too bad, too lost. It truly teaches us grace.

  35. Alana Anderson says:

    Amen❤️

  36. Tami says:

I love this story! I feel like Paul is the gold standard for “if the Lord did it for him he could do it for…” I love how God reaches each of us so individually. It would be so amazing to be able to sit down and hear all of your “conversion” stories. Mine is not nearly as dramatic as Saul’s, its more like a slow, windy path to surrender, no lighting bolts, no voice from above. I know others who have had dramatic conversions. I wonder if we could find a way to share our stories? Rhonda is always encouraging us to do so on our FB page. That is one of my favorite things about going on mission trips. Having the time to sit with others in my church family and hear their stories. We can go much deeper than coffee and bagels allow after church. Have a blessed day!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes agreed!! I LOVE hearing what God is doing in our lives, where it started…sharing is so good!Testimonies are for sharing our testings and our messages from our messes! We all have them! They fortify our own faith to hear others!! It’s like the song “Too good NOT to Believe!” The more you hear from people you can’t not believe!! We don’t really get that emphasis just going to church on Sunday’s and leaving. Small groups are good for this too, learning each others stories. Like Wendy started at her church, coming together once a month to share our testimonies IS wonderful!! More should begin this practice!

  37. Sally B. says:

This is such an amazing story and like Tina said, true proof that no one is too far from God to be outside of His reach. The other thing that stood out to me was the ‘humbling’ of Saul. As the supporting Psalm passage explains, God is attentive to the humble. Since Saul was a predetermined instrument for God, God had to humble him to get his attention. Echoing what our devotion writer says, it would be SO wonderful if humanity (me/we) did not have to be humbled or suffer in order for God to get our attention!

Father, please keep our hearts soft and attentive to Your Spirit so we can respond promptly to Your direction!

    Blessings on your Friday, Ladies!

Sauls conversion story has always had me at.. ‘Now Saul was still breathing threats…’
    .
I mean if only He knew what the next line of his story was to be..
Isn’t that always the way, we go through life doing, being, then we encounter an unexpected shift that throws a spanner in the works of our plans and life..
Saul was thrown into the horror of a darkness he had never known, unlike the darkness of fear and confusion he brought to Christ followers daily. Here he was blinded and in total darkness. That would have been bad enough, I guess, but then in that place of darkness he hits the ground, as low as he can go, rock bottom.
There is only one way up..
    .
    BUT GOD..
He uses this (divine) opportunity to win His person, to show His person what His Love, Grace, ooohhh and Mercy look like.. what the people whom he was hell bent on terrorising saw, believed and hoped in.
    .
    What a GOD..
Oh my, this may as well have been Sauls baptism, because when God recovers his sight, he is a new man. The absolute opposite of the person he was.. he has had an encounter that has changed him heart, mind, body and soul. HE NOW SPOKE JESUS!
    What an experience.
    What a GOD!
    What a conversion!
    .
Sauls story is not just a JESUS story that gives us the fuzzies, it is a story of what God can do, even to hard as nails hearts, closed or otherwise..
God has the key, and in His time He brings His person(s) close and back to Him.
    .
    If God is for you/us..
    .
    Praise God..
    .
    Amen.
    .
Happiest of Friday’s my loves.. Every blessing prayed over you for the most amazing God blessed weekend..♥️

As always, well said. I often pray for a Damascus experience for those far from God. “God has the key, and in His time He brings His person(s) close and back to Him.” Thank you for writing this. This gives me hope for my kids and others “in HIS time”.

As I pray for the prodigals, I ask the scales to be removed from their eyes.

Me too Tami! I have asked for prayers for my Nephew Christian, praying he has a Damascus road experience from ya’ll!

Tina, so good! It true…I was just loving my new life…new marriage, new baby, new house, money, nice car…EVERYTHING Perfect! Then…whammie! My husband…the nerve, says…eh..this isn’t working for me…I want to move out, I don’t love you!! WHAT?? Knock me over. But even BETTER…knocked me to my knees!!! To God! And it wasn’t until then, although a Christian, that I saw all my sin of the decade before. And I didn’t see it as payback for my sin, but I realized I had been living for my own flesh, not the Jesus I proclaimed! That is my simple testimony. My worst time…became exactly what I needed to be a warrior for Jesus and what he can do in ones low…and forward!!!

I need to pray for a Damascus road experience for my sister in law Molly. She walked away from the faith almost 7 years ago and it breaks my heart. I am almost 8 years older than she is and I remember her going to sleep with her Bible on her chest as a child. We used to be so close but this past Christmas there was a glimmer of hope of what we used to be. I have to remember that I can’t fix her, only God can and it’s just so hard.

        1. Rhonda J. says:

I can imagine how hard that is. Prayers for her to come home.

    3. Sandi S says:
