Day 1

You Are God

from the Psalms of Gratitude reading plan

Psalm 100

BY She Reads Truth

In this 2-week reading plan, we will assume a posture of thanksgiving before the Lord by meditating on ten Psalms of Gratitude. Rather than provide a written response to each Psalm, we will offer a simple yet meaningful activity designed to help us recall God’s mercies to us and through time. So grab a journal, and let’s create our own songs of thanksgiving to God. May He use His Word to turn our hearts toward Him.

Psalm 100
Be Thankful
A psalm of thanksgiving.

Shout triumphantly to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Acknowledge that Yahweh is God.
He made us, and we are His —
His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For Yahweh is good, and His love is eternal;
His faithfulness endures through all generations.

Dig deeper:
Our God is good and His love is eternal. Let’s follow David’s lead in Psalm 100 by humbling ourselves in gratitude before the Lord. Complete the song of praise below with your own words of thanks.

Shout triumphantly to the Lord, all the earth.

Serve the Lord with gladness;

come before Him with joyful songs.

    It’s so amazing to me that God created the sunsets and the seas, the mountains and the trees, and He thought the world needed one of me. It leaves me speechless every time I think about it, and I am eternally grateful for that love, grace, and mercy.

  2. Kyrstyn Specht says:

    Nothing he does is wasted or if less value based on my own view of my circumstance. His faithfulness to me far surpasses my limitations and gives me every reason to come to him in praise and gratitude for all He has done!

    I was made by you! I belong to you! On days I don’t feel I am enough I remember I was made by you and that provides me strength!

    He has never left me.. He deserves every ounce of praise and worship I can give. There are sooooo many great verses in the Bible to encourage me but I am particularly fond of John 3:30. “He must increase, but I must decrease”. It’s amazing to see how truly thoughtful God was with giving us the Bible. Everything we endure, He has an answer for.. that was real hard for to believe but I’m dealing with someone lying against me and just last evening the Lord led me to Psalm 109! Hit timing is truly perfect! Praise Him, praise Him, Praise Him!!
