weekly truth

Today, as a body of women, let’s meditate on and memorize God’s word. Not for our own glory or honor, but for the joy of our Father and the growth of His Truth in our hearts.

“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working”
James 5:16b, ESV

I really enjoyed this series on prayer! Prayer has always been a big part of my life but in the past few months it has grown and I have been able to pray out loud with my co-workers at a pregnancy center. We pray for the abortion minded women that walk through the doors and share the gospel with them hoping that they will let Christ into their hearts. There was a woman that came into the center, She knew that if she was less than 8 weeks she would probably abort because that way she could just take a few pills, but if she was over 8 weeks along then she would probably keep the baby because in order to abort at that gestation she would have to have a procedure. Well it turns out that she was only 4 weeks along after we did the ultrasound but got put a tiny tiny miracle in there…He placed not one but two babies!! She knew that she would choose life because she could not abort knowing that there were 2 babies instead of 1. I'm writing this and telling her story because I want you ladies to pray for her and her family. Feel free to follow my blog http://www.somethingbeautiful19.blog.com

I am about to put my 2-year-old to bed after a wonderful day of his birthday activities, but I just want to take a quick moment to say such a sincere THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you. I need this so much, this feeling of belonging in a safe and non-judging place, and I thank God that I have found it! I am so excited to continue this journey of devotion, learning, and just "doing life" with each of you. You have blessed me so today! And Candacejo, I am going to read your blog post tomorrow. I have it pulled up so that I will see it first thing in the morning.

Thank you Lord for the community! Good night, sisters!
