CEE GEE – thank you for sharing the verses from Jeremiah. It is always amazing and uplifting to see the way Scripture works together. God told the Israelites to go ahead and live their lives in the land where He sent them. I think He’s telling us the same in our world today. So, no matter what happens and no matter who is “in charge” we know the true King of Kings, and He is with us in this land.
    Have a lovely weekend, She’s.

Thank you for the prayers, group was wonderful, only 9 of us! We had a great discussion on how influences in our childhood create our self-image, a self-image that is bound to fail in this world.

Praying for Israel! Protection, wisdom for those in charge. Prayers for the wounded and those that had loved ones perish. How scary that rockets can strike and invasions happen so quickly. .

    Oops, too soon!
Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with our God ❤️

@CHERYL BLOW, the same stood out to me this morning as we re-read these verses. He tells us exactly what to do while we wait and trust in Him. It all seems to point to Micah 6:8 and what the Lord requires of us, to do justice,

    Good Morning sweet She’s☀️
I’m out here enjoying the coolness of a Saturday! Such a beautiful California morning! I am off for an entire week! Fall break! When I read this morning’s verses, I was so encouraged. The word that stuck out to me this morning is: TRUST. As most of you know, I’m in a new position at work. I’m a paraprofessional so it’s just the teacher and I. There’s been a lot of learning, and I’ve done my best to give myself some grace. But I can tell that at times I frustrate the teacher. I’ve been open with her and asked her to try to not lose hope in me. I wake up every morning very happy to come to work! This is where I know I need to TRUST my God. HE, gave me the ability to take a college course last year, the ability to be interviewed in the summer, and get this new position. I’m trusting my God that he will give me the ability to keep learning and the teacher exercise patience, as I am a different person than her previous para.
I’m going to be Churmouse’s comment next. I too miss her very much. I pray for her and I hope that she is well.

Good morning Shes Rhonda J praying for your group this morning. God will supply your needs. Kelly (NEO) Thank you for your insight. It was good to “see” Churchmouse here in a past comment! Cee Gee thank you for your prayers. Right now I’m in a moderate amount of pain and I don’t see the pain doctor for a couple weeks. Tylenol is not the answer. Have a beautiful weekend ❤️

  7. Traci Gendron says:

I’m guilty of looking at the world and wondering in fear where we are headed! I don’t want to live that way. God does not want me to live that way. Thank you SHARON JERSEY GIRL for reminding me.

    Prayers for all!

“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

I love that God is telling us what to do while we are trusting and waiting on Him – to do good! Dwell in the land, enjoy being protected by Him! Take delight in God. Then He will give us the desires of our heart. KELLY, I’m in agreement with you, when we do all of the above, our desires align with God’s will. RHONDA praying for you. God equips who He calls. It will all work out with your group. It is ok to ask others to help you.
    Have a great weekend!

  9. Cee Gee says:

This passage brought to mind Jeremiah 29:5-9 and then I saw your comment SHARON JERSEY GIRL!:
Jeremiah 29: 4-9: Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who were carried away captive, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon:

5 Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit. 6 Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may bear sons and daughters—that you may be increased there, and not diminished. 7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. 8 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the LORD.
And we all know the much quoted verse that follows: 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

RHONDA J – I totally understand the anxiety! It will be a wonderful blessing and just be prepared for possibly more ladies as word spreads! Praying for you and the group!

SEARCHING, TRACIE GENDRON and LINDA K ❤

    Praying for each of you!

  10. Danielle B says:

    Good Saturday morning She’s.
@Kelly Neo I have heard it explained that way before as well. If we delight in the Lord our desires become His desires for us. Those our the desires He gives us.

  11. Adrienne says:

    Amen, SHARON, JERSEY GIRL!

    Happy grace day, sweet She’s!

  12. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

    @Rhonda J. – Praying for you this morning — God’s got this!

  13. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

Good morning She’s! I think I mentioned earlier in the week that this is one of my favorite passages, but today as I read it I saw something new…So many people I talk to are fretting about our future, about the state of our country, about the political leadership. They are genuinely frightened of what might happen, and some of them are believers. As I read Psalm 37:3, this stood out: “Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely.” It is when we put our complete trust in the Lord that we WILL be able to live securely knowing that God is in control and no matter what happens, no matter how bleak everything seems – God is still on the throne! “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2Timothy 1:7

Have a blessed Saturday my sisters and today may we bask in the presence and power of our Almighty God!

  14. Rhonda J. says:

    Good Morning!
    Thank you for the prayers!

I like the KJ version…the verily and the thees and thous!

    3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;

So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

    4 Delight thyself also in the Lord;

And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

I am a little anxious about my group this morning! It is bigger than I anticipated, which creates more challenges! The seating becomes a challenge, whether to divide up for smaller groups, and just the talking in front of MORE people (gets me SO nervous!!) BUT, hence the name “Free of Me,” it is not about me, it’s about fellowship in the Lord!! Gathering to learn together and grow! To encourage and strengthen, iron sharpening iron! Have a good wkd She’s!

  15. Theresa says:

I memorized Psalm 37 as a teenager and this was my favorite part of that passage. The translation I memorized reads “Dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness”. I love that image of getting all we need from what God provides us. He truly cares for his children.

RHONDA – praying for your back pain and that you’ll be able to be more active again.

  16. Kelly (NEO) says:

    “Take delight in the Lord,
and He will give you your heart’s desires.”

Most would read this as God giving us what we ask for. May I suggest another way to look at this? What if, instead, when we delight in the Lord, He plants the desires into our hearts so that our wants align with His?

God be with you today ❤️

  17. Searching says:

Not too many older posts today – be sure to scroll to the one from CHURCHMOUSE (you are missed) on 11/19/2016. ❤️ When we are in alignment with the Lord and His will for us, our desires will match with His.

Thankful to be learning more about the relationship God designed for me to have with Him.

    Such good comments, sisters!

CEE GEE – thanks for the verses! Interesting to read a different translation than I normally read. ❤️

ORHONDA J – praying for pain relief.

Listening to Charity Gayle sing I Speak Jesus as I pray for each request.

  18. Molly Gilbane says:

Thank you Lord for this beautiful life! For giving me a fresh start, time and time again. For always being there. For giving me peace and contentment. For filling me with joy so that I can embrace the present and live with intention. For wrapping Your loving arms around me and giving me great hope and excitement for the future. I do not feel worthy, but I am so appreciative and thankful all the same!

  19. Allie Andrews says:

The Lord works in mysterious ways. He knows what is on my heart and has a way of communicating with me. He sends the exact message at the right time. Praise you Lord. May I never lose sight of you, your will, and your word. Amen!

  20. Amanda Holland says:

Delight yourself in the Lord! I will try to focus on this more daily. Amen!

  24. Leah ❤️ says:

After 2 years of being so so sick–yesterday I got a call from a specialist in Connecticut (I live in Tx) and he finally had an answer and a name for what’s wrong with me!!! God never left my side through this whole ordeal-he gave me little tidbits of hope in my quiet time here and there. He feed me manna for my worry with scripture that jumped out at me. I had to wait, but he sat with me. Now-I have to do lots of research and find a surgeon to preform a very difficult procedure. It might fix it, or it might need surgery a few times… I won’t die-but it hurts real bad. I’m thankful. It’s called MALS-I’m so thankful

    1. Skigranny1 says:

Will add you to my prayer list for sure. Psalm 13 is a great one when going through trials. But He is faithful. Thankful for your diagnosis and pray your research goes well.

  25. churchmouse says:

In the Lord, trust. In the Lord, do good. In the Lord, dwell. In the Lord, live securely. In the Lord, delight. In the Lord, watch and see what He will give: your heart’s desires. (how awesome is that?!?) Grateful on this grace day!
