Some things that stood out to me from this week’s podcast:
    *Lament is worship.
*5 sections of Psalms mirror and are a call to meditate on the instruction of the Torah (1st 5 books of the OT/ law of Moses). *“Our suffering is intentional so we cling to the Suffering Servant.” Our suffering is part of our sanctification and conforms us to Christ.
    .
    Have a lovely weekend!❤️

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Lament is worship! Yes, love that simple truth! Lamenting is taking your pain to God! And yes, we have to share in the suffering with Jesus! I like that you said suffering is part of our sanctification! So good!

  2. Catherine McVey says:

I wanted to give an update on my friend, Debbie. Her sister died last Wednesday. Debbie went to her chemo treatment and they told her they were stopping that it was not helping. It is now in her liver. I just hung up from her and feeling helpless and heartbroken. Thank you all for being such faithful prayer warriors.

      Have prayed❤️

I love my recent studies in James – powerful teachings for life. Today’s verse is a great memory verse!

    James 3:17 NLT
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.

From ENDURING WORD Study Bible: (I used caps for emphasis where the BOLD type is in the original – would not copy & paste.)
“God wants His people to live full of ‘the wisdom that is from above,’ not the wisdom of this world.
The character of God’s wisdom is wonderful. It is full of love and generosity and is consistent with the holiness of God.

    God’s wisdom is first PURE.
The idea is not so much of sexual purity but of wisdom free from sinful attitudes or motives.

    God’s wisdom is PEACEABLE.
This word has a royal association; the wisdom of a great king who has the right to make war but chooses peace and kindness.

    God’s wisdom is GENTLE,
describing someone who knows how to forgive when strict justice gives the right to condemn.

God’s wisdom is WILLING TO YIELD.
It is not stubborn; it knows when to bend and to respond to an appeal.

God’s wisdom is FULL OF MERCY.
It does not judge others strictly based on the law but extends a generous hand, full of mercy. This wisdom knows that the same measure of mercy we grant to others is the same measure God will use with us (see Matt. 7:2).

God’s wisdom is FULL OF . . . GOOD FRUITS,
seen by the fruit it produces. Its goodness can be seen in real, everyday life.

    God’s wisdom is WITHOUT PARTIALITY,
or without judging. The idea is that it does not have a curious inquiry into the faults or failings of others.

This wisdom is WITHOUT HYPOCRISY. It doesn’t pretend to be something that it is not; it never works under a mask.

When people think of wisdom, they often think of the theoretical and speculative, something like a detached philosopher speaking deep and complicated ideas.
Yet God’s wisdom—biblical wisdom — is completely practical. It translates into real life and produces people who are full of love and goodness. This heavenly wisdom is for you, today.”

From John MacArthur NKJV Study Bible-
“wisdom . . . from above. See note on v. 13. pure. This refers to spiritual integrity and moral sincerity. Every genuine Christian has this kind of heart motivation (cf. Pss. 24:3, 4; 51:7; Matt. 5:8; Rom. 7:22, 23; Heb. 12:14). peaceable. Means “peace loving” or “peace promoting” (cf. Matt. 5:9). gentle. This word is difficult to translate, but most nearly means a character trait of sweet reasonableness. Such a person will submit to all kinds of mistreatment and difficulty with an attitude of kind, courteous, patient humility, without any thought of hatred or revenge (cf. Matt. 5:10, 11).”

    About ‘MEEKNESS/GENTLENESS’ MacArthur said this:
“GENTLENESS, it is the opposite of arrogance and self-promotion. The Greeks described it as power under control. WISDOM. The kind that comes only from God (see note on 1:5; cf. Job 9:4; 28; Pss. 104:24; 111:10; Prov. 1:7; 2:1–7; 3:19, 20; 9:10; Jer. 10:7, 12; Dan. 1:17; 2:20–23; Rom. 11:33; 1 Cor. 1:30; Eph. 3:10; Col. 2:3).”

    (new song):
You have loved us with an everlasting love
    Welcomed to Your kingdom
As Your children and Your friends
We stand before You now and offer our response
To love You Lord our God
With all our heart and soul and strength

    Hear and take heart
    The Lord is enough
In our joy and our grief
    He bears our mark
    In His nail-driven scars
Through His hands and His feet

    So come and behold
    The mystery of love
    In our doubt and belief
Let the cross be the place
    Where the weary find rest
    And the troubled find peace

    Love, hugs,vand prayers! ❤

    GM She’s!
It’s funny cause I had actually prayed for what God want’s to continue to do with me to show me, and keep growing me and then I was asked to do the scariest thing ever last night- to speak on stage at church for my friends memorial for our pain group! Oddly, I was scared but not. Not like I would have been just a year ago. My friend prayed for me, and I had to look up at her a couple of times to take a deep breath..but then I got going with the Holy Spirit…b/c what I said about the Lord penetrating and using Bob and I IN our chronic pain IS JUST SO GOOD!! And I needed to share that with everyone!! There were friends and family there that may not be all in for Jesus, and I wanted them to know that God had done marvelous things even though they saw Bob in such pain the last 4 years. It may look unfair, but as I said to them….It DROVE BOB straight to church and to a deeper reliance on the Lord!! THAT is a blessing not a punishment! And then it shines in all the people that loved him! It made even our church family want to do MORE.
I told them when we first started the Pain Group, neither Bob or I had led a group or even pray out loud for other people! Then we would both be Prayer Partners at the altar every week thereafter! He gave encouragement and empathy and love to all the people that attended our group through the 3 years and then texted them randomly to check in. He had been prophesied over that he had the gift of laying hands to heal people.
He was disappointed and it hit him really hard when a dear friend and member passed away. But I told them that God had showed me a beautiful visual of Tracy running to him and smiling big saying you completed your mission!!

My point is what seems to some as unfair, sad, discouraging to suffer, God is using it in a more powerful way to reveal himself. We can all praise God in the good..(Job), but will they praise in the bad. Will we?! The Bible is full of suffering servants that shows us how to suffer well!
I pray us she’s will use our battles for his Glory! I can name many of you that have already done that through the years here. Tracy G, Mia Faith, Lynn, Wendy, Tina, oh so many more! Hallelujah!! The suffering will come but it is a short time compared to eternity! Hold steadfast, lean in, and reveal His Glory! Model it for others and leave a Godly legacy! It is so important! You most important mission here…telling of Jesus! Being his disciples and getting more!
Thank you for the prayers and encouragement! I was able to “keep preaching” afterwards in talking to many people at the reception.
This I feel is all a good example of the scripture today. Good fruits, unwavering….without pretense! Amen.
Love to you all! :) (heart)

now if I would have read this in the morning time with coffee as usual…I would have spit it out reading that!! lol! No..I actually have a terrible voice and better at writing my thoughts than speaking them. BUT..I do believe that Jesus uses every willing heart! And I am astonished and thrilled by what he has done and used me for. And that’s what I love to share!

Thank you for your sweet words Jane and Sandi!

MERCY ❤️ yesterday was another share that I needed to read more than once, impactful is an understatement. It helped me, hopefully helped AMBER too. As we question the pain in our world, the unimaginable, horrific tragedies suffered by us and others, I think we also need to remember the goodness and blessings we receive, the times we’ve been protected and were unharmed in close-call situations, the times we don’t even realize that we were in danger and yet not harmed. How many times do we say or hear others say, What a miracle or It’s a miracle and yet not give thanks to God? I’ve shed tears, tears and more tears over tragedies in my life and in the lives of friends and even strangers, yet fall short many times in praising God in thankfulness for the uneventful days that are blessings in themselves.

  12. Tina says:

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense…
    .
    .
Wisdom..the ability to make sound judgments, decisions, and navigate complex situations using accumulated knowledge, experience, and deep insight. It goes beyond mere factual information by ensuring that what is learned is applied compassionately and ethically for the greater good.
    .
    Whoa..!
    .
Earthly wisdom is good, so good..
    .
    BUT GOD..
    .
The wisdom He gives from above, and, I love this is first and foremost, PURE, no messing, no watering down. It is of the highest quality and form!
Then, don’t you just love the use of this word, THEN, once you’ve understood how PURE, THEN..follows peace loving. It is not about going at it gung-ho, but GENTLY with heart, COMPLIANT-accomadating, willing to do what needs to be done in love, covered in MERCY- leniency, compassion. and the good fruit (of the Spirit- Galatians 5:22-23), without pretence..
    .
The Wisdom from above is not about knowledge, what you may know as the world may think, this is about heart, grace, Godliness..
    .
I just thought I’d read a little more, so I went to the book of James, in GNT, and this is what it said..
    .
    James 3:17 GNT
[17] But the wisdom from above is pure first of all; it is also peaceful, gentle, and friendly; it is full of compassion and produces a harvest of good deeds; it is free from prejudice and hypocrisy.
    .
    Say no more Tina.. understood!
    .
    AMEN.
    .
