Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Sisters, I am really struggling with depression today. It’s taken me until mid-afternoon to get out of bed and into the bathtub. I do think the reason is part of an answer to prayers you have been lifting for me though: it looks like we have found a placement for my disabled son! He will likely be moving out within the month to his new home. It’s close by, with a young man just a few years older than him who is committed to working with the disabled long term and wants my son’s care to be his only job. So it’s everything I could hope for, but it will still be a huge transition for both of us. I’ve been doing this SAHM gig for nearly 31 years, and I have only lived alone for 2 years out of my entire life. Thankfully, my daughter will be home for the summer, so it won’t be such a complete shock to my system, but I’m still a bit nervous about all of the details, as is my son. Please keep me and David in your prayers in the weeks ahead.
Thankful for a much needed answer to prayer and yes, a big adjustment for both of you. Will be praying for you and for David as the details are worked out, and for you and David to settle in to the new situations more easily than expected. ❤
❤️❤️
We have received mercy and here we are! Thank you Jesus! Happy Saturday sweeties!
Thank you Lord for your Mercy.
Now you have received mercy …- Praise God for that!
I love your song shares and thought of this one this morning:
It’s All Because of Mercy
by Casting Crowns
Partial Lyrics:
I could stand here
And try to tell you
I found my way here on my own
Brought to life this heart of stone
Made up my own mind
To change my own life
Working my own way to good
As if anybody could
But the truth is I’ve been broken since my very first breath
And the truth is I’ve been wandering since my very first step
I know the only reason
I can stand here unashamed
Is not because I’m worthy
It’s all because of mercy
There’s no way that I could earn it
Praise God my debt is paid
It’s not because I’m worthy
It’s all because of mercy
.
Love, hugs, and prayers with moments to ponder this season. ❤
OH YES, that’s a great one!
❤️
Not deserved, but still, He made a way. I am so lost and broken without Jesus. No matter how many times I fall, when I let my sinful nature take over, He forgives. Oh, how I long to put those selfish desires, patterns & habits of unrighteousness and empty fulfilments to rest. Thank you, precious Jesus that you do not leave me in the lost, wayward, drowning muck of who I am on my own. Thank you for coming after me, for making a way, for your great sacrifice, grace, mercy and forgiveness that is more than my brokeness. Lead my in your Way that is everlasting. Amen.
Makes me think of a couple of songs – His Mercy is More by the Getty’s and also Wonderful, Merciful, Savior by Selah
Blessings on your Saturday, dear sisters.❤️
“…more than my brokenness.” Sounds like a song title!
.
Love both of the songs yoy mentioned by those artists, Wendy!
*you☺
Happy Saturday ladies! Jesus loves you & so do I. Thankful for your continued prayers for Seth. He is slowly being weaned off of medicine to wake him up from his coma. Antibiotics for the virus should be finishing up today! Please continue to pray over his brain swelling/bleed and that his vitals would remain where they need to be. Praying for each of your shared requests as well!
Small steps forward are good. Have prayed❤️
Amen! ❤
Praise you, Jesus for sweet mercy! Whew!
Good Morning She’s!!
Oh But Mercy!
But for the Mercy of our God!!
I was lost, now I am found
I was in a downward spiral, in the pit- to be lifted out and rescued!
I was blind and now can see, from the darkness to the glorious light!!
Will we ever know how dire our situation was? I looked up the word “dire” and the synonyms (actually I couldn’t spell dire!lol) and just reading them all shows how DIRE the situation is. For so long, I didn’t realize just how deplorable my life was without him, then, when you see….it changes everything. I am so glad my eyes and ears were open!! Now it crumbles me to know the love and mercy of God!
I love the song “Mercy” by Elevation Worship!! Give it a listen this morning and humble your mind to try and grasp just a tinge of his love for us!
♥️
Great song, Rhonda! New to me so I listened to a couple! I am partial to Ben Fuller’s version. ☺
Love this from the bridge (especially the accapella part:
“Was the cross meant for me
That my Savior carried
Now I’ve been made free
By the mercy of God”
I did not know there were more!! I will look those up- I love Ben Fuller!!
❤️❤️❤️
Thank Jesus for providing a way for us to be God’s people and to receive such undeserving mercy! May our live bring You glory!
How beautiful and comforting it is to know, I am one of God’s people – once without mercy, but now with.
.
I cannot imagine what my life would be like if we did not serve a merciful God. All the judgements I deserved – erased because of His mercy and grace.
.
The song Wonderful, Merciful Savior by Delay comes to mind…
Wonderful, merciful Savior
Precious redeemed and friend
Who would have thought
that a Lamb could
rescue the souls of men
Oh, You rescue the souls of men
Counselor, Comforter, Keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost our way
Oh, we’ve hopelessly lost the way
You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
Almighty, infinite Father
Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne
Oh, we’re falling before Your throne
You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
.
Praying for Seth!
.
Have a blessed Saturday She,s! ❤
Thanks, Dear Sharon… it’s been a long time since I’ve heard that beautiful song. It resonated with my ♥️ this dreary, April morning! It was a lovely reminder if His loving care for me ( and each one of us)!
Amen
This verse, Isaiah 58:11 – “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” tucked away in Isaiah 58:11
O the grace I have received and the grace I will continue to need. It’s sad I need so much of it, but God has a continuous supply for those who seek Him!
❤❤❤
But wait, there’s more! I have learned so much as we’ve studied Isaiah, and am looking forward to our final week in this Lent study, beginning with Palm Sunday tomorrow. A sobering, teary week for me no doubt, as we work our way toward the crucifixion of Christ, and toward a resounding Hallelujah at His resurrection.

SUSAN BURLEY – continuing to pray for Seth and his medical team
–
Both of my prayer requests are out of the hospital, one home and one in rehab, both without proper diagnoses to my knowledge. Praying as they recover and regain strength.
Forgot to finish!
I read all of 1 Peter 2 this morning. Adding part of verse 9 to our verse 10 today:
9 But you are …..His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
–
And verse 25, love thinking about Christ as Overseer and guardian of my soul.
25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
❤️
♥️Thanks, Dear Searching… love those verses…and we will be wrapping up a study on Psalm 23 tomorrow “The Tender Care of the Shepherd” I’ll be expecting those verses to appear in the morning message!♥️
Amen. Thank you Searching❤️
Thank you for continuing to pray Searching! Praise the Lord for your answered prayers!
Great shares, SEARCHING; thank you!
“But wait, there’s more!”
We have been studying Peter in SS this quarter. So much there!
.
Celebrating with you for the discharge of both patients and praying they have successful recovery with no more medical issues! I know it must be a little unnerving not to get a clear diagnosis! Hugs, sister! ❤
