GRAMSIESUE walking alongside you in prayer…
The song There was Jesus, came to mind as I read your post..
    .
When the life I built came crashing to the ground
When the friends I had were nowhere to be found
I couldn’t see it then but I can see it now
    There was Jesus
In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing and the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
    Every minute, every moment
Where I’ve been and where I’m going
Even when I didn’t know it or couldn’t see it
    There was Jesus..
    .
    Indeed, there was Jesus..
    .
God is with youself and Steve in this stormy journey..❤️

Thank you all so much for your prayers!!
    We definitely felt them.
We both felt more calm and peace even in the storm.
    .
One of the devotions I read last night was about the Scripture where the disciples are rowing across the lake and a storm blows up. And fear takes over.
And then…there is Jesus walking across the water to them!
How quickly they forgot the 12 baskets of leftover food that was miraculously provided!
How quickly do I forget the supernatural provisions of God throughout my life…and still have immeasurably fear in my heart?!?
My focus shifts to the difficult circumstances so quickly…when I just need to stay focused on God.
    I KNOW this!!
I KNOW that He is always here, that He loves us, that we can trust Him!
    .
    Life is waves.
    Life is storms.
    Life is calm.
    There are crashing lows.
    There are mountain highs.
    .
But we aren’t ever alone in any of it!
And He is transforming us through it all.
He will get us to the other side.
And He will change us on the inside.
    .
So many hugs and prayers for every one of you! ❤️

I was planning to share a song in Messenger for you on FB, but I am sharing hubby’s computer right now and haven’t been on FB.
I have been watching her on youtube, but her socials are listed under the video, I think. This screen is too small for that ☺ so here it is:
      Annemarie –
I’ll Be With You (official Video)
      2 months ago#worshipmusic
      Note below video:
Official Music Video for ‘I’ll Be With you” by Annemarie Coenraad.

The song was written to give hope that the Lord will be with you through all storms of life, inspired by the Bible book of Isaiah (chapter 43). We pray that this song will touch you and many others. That you may know that He is with you in every situation, even in dark and difficult times. You don’t have to do it alone. That you will come closer to the heart of God, the Father. He loves you and is with you through every storm.

‘But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.’ Psalm 13:5-6

David’s words in Psalm 13 can be broken down into 3 parts starting with a plea (vs 1-2), petition (vs 3-4) and then praise (vs 5-6). His struggle at the beginning and asking how long, then moves to a request. Isn’t this just like us when we are in the unknown, the waiting, the struggle? We cry out, ask for God to intervene. But, we dont need to, nor should we stay there. Because we know the character of God and who He is we need to move past pleas and petitions to praise. Even in the questions, trials, the waiting, when our choices lead to sin, God does not change. We can trust Him, His promises and that salvation is our gift and reward no matter what. He is unfailing, He will save us and has been good to me. What a beautiful truth to rest on. Thanks be to God.✝️

    1. GramsieSue says:

      Yes!
We know the character of God. He does not change.

    Sharing some notes from Wiersbe:
    13:1,2 –
God had promised David the throne of Israel, yet that day of coronation seemed further and further away. Saul was doing evil things, and God wasn’t judging him. Yet David was doing good things and felt abandoned by the Lord. David was certainly disturbed by what the enemy was doing, but he was more concerned about what the Lord was not doing. “How long?” is a familiar question in Scripture (see 6:3) and is a perfectly good question to ask if your heart is right with God.
    v. 2 –
We must not deny our feelings and pretend that everything is going well, and there is no sin in asking, “How long?” But at the same time, we must realize how deceptive our feelings are and that God is greater than our hearts (see 1 John 3:20) and can lift us above the emotional storms of life. David eventually learned to replace the question “How long, O LORD?” with the affirmation “My times are in Your hands” (Ps. 31:15). This is a lesson that all believers must learn.
    v.4-
As much as David was concerned about his own needs, he was concerned even more with the glory of God
    v. 5-6
The little word “But” indicates a transition from fear to faith and from questioning to claiming God’s promises. Let the enemy rejoice in their false confidence, but David will rejoice in the Lord his God! David’s feelings had been on a roller coaster, but God was still on the throne, and His character had not changed. God’s mercy (unfailing love) was all that David needed, for it would never end (see 25:6; Is. 63:9; Lam. 3:22, 23). God’s people don’t live on explanations; they live on promises, and those promises are as unchanging as the character of God. “According to your faith let it be to you” (Matt. 9:29)

May I choose God’s glory over my ‘good feelings’ in every situation.

    2. GramsieSue says:

Yes, David’s feelings had been on a roller coaster. I think I’ve been on that same roller coaster! LOL

    Mornin’ Shes!

Update on my young mama and her baby. An “overflow” space with a shelter opened up, so she and the baby are there for now. (House is too quiet now) She has a job lead for 3rd shift (12 hrs on for two days then two days off – repeat) but finding overnight daycare is a challenge. And it is unclear at this point if a regular room at the shelter opens if she would be “allowed” to be gone overnight (some have curfews). Anyway, needless to say, many layers and prayers for wisdom still needed.
    Thank you.

WENDY B and LEANNA THOMPSON – praising God with you.

    1. Cee Gee says:

Thanks for that prayer update, Kelly! Certainly God will make a way! Prayers for your heart in the quiet! Hugs, sis! ❤

    GM! Happy Wkd!

I thing we have become quite expectant of a happy life! My truth, your truth, live your truth and you will be happy! Why hasn’t it worked? Why are we a society of anxious people? Because God’s truth is the only truth. We can’t invent the new 12 step program, a new creative executive plan for my life to be perfect. We are set up to fail in this rosy than life expectations we have set. Life is hard, if you grew up with parents before the 80’s, they talked of nothing of their hard life, and they wanted more for their children. They wanted to give them thins they didn’t have is the heard more often than any phrase as a kid. And they did, they worked hard and provided, and my parents took us to church to balance strife with trust in the Almighty. Then my generation further spoiled our kids, not only given them more stuff ever seen in a kids room, but giving them a basement of their own! lol. They didn’t have to do anything but feast on toys and games! (if you made your kids do chores…good for you!). Yes, you know the story- we created lazy kids. We raised kids that don’t know a reliance on God…to feast on him and not stuff, and the need to be the center of attention. Oh, this may not be the case for your experience, but it is the case for me and the ones around me. God is a God of order and respect, law and rules…but for our success. Isn’t it amazing that he loves us So, So much to protect. From harm, emotionally and mentally. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (by his word!)…”
He has the perfect plan for us, not to harm us, but to prosper us—To give us a hope and a future!!! Thank you Lord!! For everything perfect and good comes from you!! You care for the birds in the air….would a good father give a snake..to their child?! He loves us with perfect love…isn’t it a gift to not try to figure it out on our own?! But we have to surrender our will to his, walk by his precepts, and lean into him with disciplined lives and love for him!! Thank you Lord…keep pruning and sanctifying me. It doesn’t always feel good and perfect, but your ways are not our ways!!

    Wendy- what great news!!
LeAnne–Happy you felt good with the doctor’s plan for your son!
GrammsieSue- stay confident in the Lord.
Lynn—continued prayers for his loving care and comfort.

The Good News Translation says it this way… verses 5-6
    .
    I rely on your constant love;
I will be glad, because you will rescue me.
I will sing to you, O Lord, because you have been good to me.
    .
Knowing what I know, knowing WHOM I believe in, TRUSTING the One true GOD, these words from David, remind me of wedding vows, promises made and promises received.
I make this declaration now, Lord God, of relying on your constant, faithful through the ages, love, and trust that because of this unconditional love, covered in your mercy and grace, you will, as you promised, indeed, rescue me.
Because of that, I will sing, I will shout, I will dance, for I see your goodness every day.. Thank you Lord God.. Thank you..
    Thank you.
    .
    AMEN.
    .
Happy Saturday, my dears, Wrapped in the warmth of the sunshine I see outside..

    Tina❤️❤️

    1. Rhonda J. says:

ANEN!! Know what I know— Yes, I am a pretty slow learner, but I know now what I know…it takes reading the scriptures through and through to KNOW his promises and goodness, and then letting it overflow in your life— oh, is it hard at times!!

I really love that translation!! Hugs and love to you this morning across the pond!! The Cardinals were singing to me before the sun came up this morning!! Do you have cardinals there?

    6 I will sing the Lord’s praise,
