Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Galatians 4:4-5

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
—Galatians 4:4–5

Wow!!!! This verse is so good and powerful. It’s so beautiful to think about how God chose each and every one of us, and he wants a relationship with ALL of us! His graciousness is so special, as even the things that may seem to separate us from Him, he will mend through a faith filled relationship. It’s NEVER too late to go to God!!!!

    Running a day behind …
Yesterday’s devo and comments were so good, thank you sisters. HRT was good also.

JESSICA THOMAS – praying as you consider how to serve best, and the energy needed
GWINETH52- good questions on gift giving, it’s an every year quandary
MARGARET W – ❤️ permanently experiencing His joy
MARI V – thanking those working to serve us ❤️
I especially like to thank people for working on holidays even though I get a lot of puzzled looks.
TRACI GENDRON, TINA, TARA B, RHONDA J, MARIA B, CEE GEE, ME – loving when we aren’t liking, it’s a daily challenge. I have been working on this – it ain’t easy and many times I want to scream. My main goal is to learn to keep things in perspective and to lay them down and move on if it’s something that seems important now, but in truth won’t matter next week, month, 5 years from now – an ongoing, never ending, seemingly impossible goal most of the time. Lots of prayer and working to remember that love isn’t a fleeting feeling, it’s a decision, a tough decision in some cases.
NEBRASKA GIRL & ADRIENNE – switching out love for Jesus or our name – thanks !
KRIS – praying for your and your family
ABBY HOPE LANCASTER – beautiful post yesterday

TINA – such beautiful and moving words yesterday ❤️
LINDA IN NC, CEE GEE, ME and likely many more – the challenge to find private, quiet time!!! I get up early to try to carve out quiet time to meet with my sisters here, a precious commodity!
ALEIDA POLANCO- joining KELLY praying for Victor

    2. Danielle B says:

Loving when we don’t like so good and hard. I’m finding our perspective is a very important aspect of this growth and faith journey we are all on together.

It’s SATURDAY!!! Good morning beautiful She’s!! LOVE the assurance that I am adopted! I was chosen! Yep, YOU and I are chosen by our JESUS! All we had/have to do is ACCEPT His invitation. SO glad and thankful YOU all did because here we are on the beautiful platform of SHE’s whom (I say it all-the-time, “can’t wait to meet y’all someday) AGAIN…thank you all for your generosity! I’m still pinching myself! Though I don’t know you all name-by-name, our JESUS does! He knows. He sees! THANK YOU! Prayer request: I’m traveling to the Sacramento area to visit my sister-in-laws (ex, side of the family) This past summer all but one SNL and BNL came for my daughter’s gradation celebration. Thankfully I’ll be in the home of the only one that stayed in contact with me, BUT a couple of years ago the rest of the in-laws reached out to my children resulting in them coming here for my daughter’s grad celebration and TODAY I’m going to them. THANKFULLY I’ll be in the home of the SNL that has always stayed in contact. Prayers are appreciated that all will go well and keep it about them and my relationship with them. Praying for a sweet time. ALSO, I don’t like traveling so please pray for safe travels. It will only be my daughter and I.

Got questions dot org has a good article answering the ‘fullness of time’ question if anyone is interested. Kelly mentioned a few possibilities and the article ends with the prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27.

    Have a blessed and ponder-ful Saturday! ❤

Lord Jesus thank you for leaving the Father, coming to earth as man and dying righteously, so that I am adopted and forgiven! Thank you for this gift you freely give to those who believe! May we She’s live out this love you’ve given us to encourage others to receive this free gift as well.

  16. Jennifer Jackson says:

A child of God! What a great gift. What such great love ❤️

  17. Rhonda J. says:

That is quite the verse to ponder! When the time came for completion…! Jesus came! And we are in the wait for the 2nd coming…for just that moment when the trumpet will sound!! We can look back over our lives to “those Moments” when everything changed. One simple moment…when my mom passed, when my son was born, when my husband told me he didn’t love me. Moments in time- yet hugely earth shaking in our lives, that change the trajectory. I don’t even know the exact BEST moment of my live when I knew Jesus was now the author of my story, but I do remember when I was so broken and weak that I fell to my knees and lifted my hands and cried and said help me Jesus, I have a mess of a life, and I NEED YOU. Only YOU can put it back together.

We don’t like these earth shattering moments, and don’t wish them on anyone, but oftentimes that is what it takes to bring us to Jesus. There is even a scripture where it is prayed to give over to the devil for some “Job encounters” to bring someone to Jesus. See, we are stubborn people and think we got this, but we can’t do it on our own, our souls long for Jesus, with a space only he can fill. That is the adoption. He is the Savior that adopts us, and leads and guides us, loves and fulfills us.

Thank you Jesus for Adopting me.

Good morning! I’m now in Florida and I realized my posts will be so much earlier. I was surprised to see only 8 comments so far.

I want to thank you all who responded to my comment yesterday. I think when I get irritated or say something I shouldn’t, I feel like a fraud. As though Christians shouldn’t ever mess up. I know that isn’t the case, but I feel that is how I’ll be judged. Those on the outside that don’t know God have a tendency to judge us believers a little more harshly. I really shouldn’t worry about that though. I’m trying my best. It is not easy in light of my quirks..ex: someone chewing with their mouth open and loudly..LOL. I’m hoping I will be better as time goes on. I can hope with God’s help that it will turn into a reality.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Welcome to SWF, it’s a beautiful morning! Hope to see you while your here!

HOW exciting! Hope you and Rhonda are able to see one another! Traci……THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your generous gift! I pray our JESUS bless you greatly!!! Can’t wait to meet you someday! I am so BLESSED by this beautiful group of SHE’s, YOU and can’t wait to meet you all someday!

    4. Barb D says:

Oh, Traci, Jesus died to cover those imperfections. (Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, – Romans 8:1) Don’t let the accuser make your shortcomings your identity. We are ALL imperfect and in need of a Savior. You don’t even wanna know about my redheaded temper! LOL!

      1. Rhonda J. says:

        Amen!

  19. LaRae Taylor says:

I’m a daughter of the king

  20. Linda in NC says:

As usual, I’m behind in reading and trying to catch up. I wanted to comment on Traci’s post yesterday. You are definitely not alone in the irritation department!
One of the hardest adjustments as a caregiver has been the lack of “privacy” to have a really quiet time. Since moving into Independent Living last year, we are in a one bedroom apartment. Add to that the fact dementia has no boundaries. Doing a quiet time is very difficult, journaling almost impossible. Way too easy for me to become irritated. “What do you want now!” Very convicted by I Corinthians 13. I need to meditate on those verses today.
Thankful God hasn’t finished his work in me yet! Love you sweet sisters!!!

    1. Cee Gee says:

Linda, I understand! The past couple of years I rarely get a quiet time. My husband is almost always near, moving about, or asking me something. I do the best I can, but that is rarely enough! Prayers for all of us in that situation, sweet sister! ❤

  21. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

Praise God – I have been redeemed! This verse reminds me of a children’s song written by Ron Hamilton (Patch the Pirate) …

I am adopted; I’m a child of the King.
God is my Father, and he owns ev’rything.
He walks beside me; He’s my very best friend.
Praise God, I’ll never be lonely again.

    Chorus:
I’m adopted, hallelujah! I’ve go a new song.
    I’m adopted, hallelujah! I fin’ly belong.
I’ve go a brand new family overflowing with love.
I’m a child of my Father above.

My Father chose me, and He loves me, I know.
He will be with me wherever I go.
I’ll never worry; I have joined royalty.
I am a member of the King’s family.
    ————
Praise God, I’m a child of the Kin!
    ————-
    Happy Saturday sweet She’s! ❤️

    1. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

Oops! “ child of the King!”

  22. Kelly (NEO) says:

I was just wondering what about the time in history that made it “complete” for Jesus to come?
    .
A guess is the expansion of the Roman Empire (reached its height between AD 27 and AD 117) where there was a common language, extensive trade routes, the building of roads, and relative peace across three continents. But only God knows for sure what triggered the time for His move.
    .
Like the first advent, we see the prophetic signs seemingly coming to pass for His return, yet only God knows what the trigger will be for the trump to sound.
    .
KRIS – prayers for comfort for you and your family as you say goodbyes to your mom.
    .
CHERYL BLOW – is your shoulder all healed up? I recall it was a slow go of it.
    .
TINA – how is your friend Emma’s cancer treatments coming along? Is she receptive to hearing about Jesus?
    .
ALEIDA POLANCO – how are things going with Victor?
    .
FOSTER MAMA – how’s your goddaughter and her mom?

    1. Searching says:

I have wondered the same thing many times – how long will God let the craziness in this world continue? When will He say, Enough! ?

  23. Eileen Dowd says:

Rest. How beautiful that Our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit showed us. Praise and glory and majesty to Our King forever!

  24. Aimee D-R says:
