  10. Jennifer Anapol says:

I have been struggling to find peace during this season. Even though this time of year is supposed to be to be about him, so many things distract us from him. I have been distracted by material things, myself and trying to please those around me. God, please help me to focus only on you. .

    1. Danielle B says:

Praying for you Jennifer. May God’s peace come through the distractions.

  11. Kristie Sump says:

I just read Ephesians 2 and was reminded of the incredible life change we experience as we come to know Christ. We are so blessed to be brought under His love, care and provision. To be brought into His family after being separate and excluded from Him, without hope and without God. He is so good to provide complete restoration in our relationship with Him.

  12. Gwineth52 says:

John 14:27 New King James Version (NKJV)
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Amidst the hustle bustle of the season…shopping for the perfect present… seeking satisfaction through things…stuffing down emotions…
Receive His gift of eternal peace.

SWEET friends……I just went back to yesterday’s comments! THANK you for your kind words!! I love, love, love you all and this BEAUTIFUL community of She’s even if we never meet in person. “SOMEDAY” we shall meet! Happy Saturday from a VERY rainy and VERY windy day here in sunny California!

  15. Mari V says:

He came for ALL of us!! ALL! We are ALL His favorite!

  16. Brenda P says:

I kind of resent Christmas. I grew up in an agnostic/atheist household that highly celebrated Santa. Now it just feels like the time of year when my kids many grandparents demand our time and call dissatisfied with how we tried to honor their Christmas traditions and desires. I love advent calendar and we doing those, but don’t want to feel this way about my family’s Christmas…..suggestions?

    1. Mari V says:

      Praying for your Brenda!

    2. Cee Gee says:

Advent calendar is a great thing to do! Don’t know how old your kids are, but you could play ‘hide baby Jesus’. One year I took a babe from an old nativity set and hid him during our gift swap. Grandkids loved it. With kids at home, you could do it every day and hide a verse or piece of candy with the babe- similar to calendar activities so it would be a good supplement, I think! Have fun with trivia games, crafts, and maybe involve grandparents so they know you want them to be part of YOUR family’s tradition. Prayers! ❤

  17. Tara B says:

Good Morning She’s. I am truly praying for peace this morning and would ask for prayer as well. For my 3 children and myself as we navigate our first Christmas after divorce.

    1. Cee Gee says:

Praying for peace in your hearts this Christmas, Tara! May the true meaning of the season outweigh the emotional upheaval.❤

    2. Tina says:

Praying Tara for peace within you all.
Not easy, and you all are feeling different things… BUT GOD.. He will be with you all in your thought, confusion and understanding of what is going on..
Will be holding you all in my prayers..
      Much love,
      Tina..❤️

    3. Mari V says:

      Praying right now!
I’ve been there. I was there 7 years ago. My daughter was 11 and son 16. So, I’m thinking maybe a little older than yours. It wasn’t a divorce. I had to flee with my children from an abusive marriage, but never the less I too, remember that first Christmas. Praying family will come along side YOU to support you and your children and make them feel “special” I hope its OK to share just a “tad” bit. ONE of the best memories I have was my son’s high school pastor, Kevin. God knew my son was going to need such a Godly man in his life. He called me that first year 7 years ago, told me that a family had donated a bunch of Christmas trees and asked if we wanted one. Of course I said, YES! That was the first “fresh-live-tree” we had ever had. I can still seem Kevin walking into our home and bringing in the tree. My kids were SO excited and grateful Praying for you Tara as you make “new” and wonderful memories with your children. WE are here for you!

    4. Kristie Sump says:

Praying for you and your children, Tara. Praying that as you focus on Christ and His love and provision for you that you will feel His comfort and love.

    5. Mercy says:

Hugs Tara. Praying for your family.

  18. Cheryl Blow says:

So thankful for the peace of God! Yesterday l my, I was just struggling, no reason why. I finally prayed and asked God to give me peace and remove whatever was robbing me of my peace. I slept so well last night! If only, I had done that sooner!

Praying for all from Oklahoma where our weather can’t decide if it is spring, fall, or winter and the winds are really “sweeping down the plains!” I have bulbs sending up green shoots!!

    1. Mari V says:

Good morning Cheryl! Glad you prayed and slept better! That happened to me as well. I feel so good this morning. I love Oklahoma! Almost 3 years ago, I went to my nephew’s wedding there. They met in Texas and recently moved to Oklahoma!

  23. Maria B says:

Friends, I wanted to share some wonderful news with you. I’ve been praying a lot for my brother, who has been somewhat estranged from my mom and me. This has been especially painful for my mom— I always joke that he is my mom’s favorite.

Since my dad passed away, he’s been distant, and things seemed to worsen after he left the military a few years ago. That transition seemed really tough for him. Unlike my military experience, his as a special forces soldier, was very different than mine. In the past two years, he’s barely spoken to my mom, maybe three times total. But yesterday, he called her out of nowhere, apologized, and promised to do better about staying in touch. Y’all, they talked for like an hour. My mom was glowing and so happy. He explained that the transition from military to civilian life had been incredibly hard for him, and he just hadn’t been himself while trying to find his footing.

Needless to say, my mom and I are overjoyed—but especially for her. Praise God for answered prayers!

    1. searching says:

Such great news! Praise the Lord! Praying for the communication and reconnection to continue.

    2. Cheryl Blow says:

How wonderful. Praying for healing for your brother!

    3. Cee Gee says:

As soon as I read your brother was former military and you mentioned ‘since’ the passing of your dad …, I could understand. Losing the person he would have relied on most post-military had to be a severe blow to your brother. Praise God he is seeing light at the other side and ready to move forward. I am praying for his situation specifically and for total reconciliation with family. Again, praise God!!! ❤ May I see God move similarly in my life!

      1. Maria B says:

Cee Gee— oh absolutely. Especially because he had a very challenging situation with my dad (mainly because of gossiping from my SIL), but when my dad (who was also in the military) was diagnosed with cancer, him and my brother became so close. So I am sure that not having my dad, the one person that could completely relate to what he went through, made things even harder.

        1. Cee Gee says:

          ❤❤❤

    4. Michelle P says:

      Praise God!!!
