Day 21

Grace Day

John 1:14

BY She Reads Truth

Advent is a season to intentionally slow our pace, contemplating and celebrating the first coming of Christ while also anticipating His promised return. Take time today to pause from the busyness of the season to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

Revisit “Advent Rhythms” on pages 18–19 to help reorient your rhythms of rest and celebration.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
—John 1:14

    @MelWisely. I don’t know if it’s online, but in the workbook it is an exercise where you write how you will slow down your “rhythm” and think about Christs coming. The examples or starting point used are to slowly read scripture & meditate on it;
    pray daily and reflect. You your own “rhythms” you wish to practice. Hope this helps.

    Hi Mel! If you have the SRT Advent study book, “Advent Rhythms” section can be found on pp. 18-19. If you don’t have the book, no worries! It’s basically just the things you want to do to intentionally celebrate the birth of Jesus and draw closer to Him. You’re doing one right now-reading the daily devotional! Baking cookies for neighbors, if you enjoy doing that, is an example of another. For me, reaching out with Christmas cards is an Advent Rhythm. Merry Christmas!✝️❤️
