I’m a week behind, still catching up but God is good in His timing…

@Martha Hix: Praying for you today as you remember your husband’s life and spend quality time with your family…

Praying for the other requests here as well – @Lindak for healing for you and your husband, @Dorothy for your ex sister in law and for comfort for your son…

Thank you @Jennifer Loves Jesus for the prayer shout out.. Even though I don’t comment much, it blessed me to see my name on there with many others. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Sisters, it has been a rough month (and year) but God is good in the midst of it all. My current job filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month and I am searching for another job because it’s gotten way too stressful and toxic at my current job. I have a job interview next week and it sounds promising, but I’m also praying that I obey what God wants for me, and not my own plans or what others feel is best.

My health has been better with the allergies. I’ve been seeing an allergist to get that under control. My cycle has been really off lately and I need to seek out an endocrinologist. I was referred to one around the time my doctor moved and there has been no follow up.

Praise God for weekends and time to rest. Have a blessed weekend ladies.

Martha Hix praying for you and your family as you gather to remember your husband. May your memories bring you comfort♥️Thank you Jennifer Loves Jesus for your remembrance of those requesting prayer. I feel like you, Kelly NEO and Searching are mother hens always checking back after prayer requests to see how things are going. I felt blessed to see my name on the list and it reminded me of asking for prayer for my eye and my praise report that it was healed. I thank God for healing and I thank all the sisters here who petition the throne of Grace on behalf of others. I do have a prayer request. My husband and I have Covid. I’m praying for a speedy recovery. Blessings to all♥️

@Martha Hix, praying for you. May the Lord of all comfort come to lift you up through this season. “To console the mourners in Zion, to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified”-Isaiah 61:3.
@Jennifer loves Jesus: thank you for your prayer <3

  8. Jennifer Loves Jesus says:

I would not trade my suffering or the hard things in my past because God brought goodness in my seasons of heartbreak. Because I drew near to Him, He drew near to me. And, I draw near to Him now. The weight of His glory crushes chaos and turns it into the sweetest wine. He did it then, and He is doing it now. Only by drawing in near to Him am I able to see and experience His power to provide all that I need. When my fear is great, He is greater. I raise my eyes to Heaven and pray to God with an earnest heart. I sow my seed every morning and I keep sowing in faith that God will grow something good (Ecclesiastes 11:6). Even if I do not see what I do prosper or my prayers answered in ways I want, I see God, and He is always good. I give thanks to Him, for He is good, and His loyal love endures forever (Psalm 136:1). This is faith. This is freedom. Now I know that the Lord is Spirit, and where the Spirit is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). I have been redeemed from slavery and fear. I am a child of God through the Spirit of adoption, an heir to His promises and eternal life with my Abba, Father (Romans 8:15-17). I hope for what I do not see and wait eagerly with patient endurance. He helps me in my weakness (Romans 8:25-26). In all the hard things I will prevail completely through the One who loves us (Romans 8:37). Nothing can separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:39). In this I rest my faith. Selah. Maranatha. Amen

  10. Rachel says:

Oh, MARTHA, I wish I could give you a hug! The “firsts” are just so hard. I pray that there will be so much laughter and joy in the midst of the tears and the ache. xo

  11. Dorothy says:

Martha, I’m praying for you. I remember the first of both of those when my son died — they were within two days of each other — it was hard. I too had family and friend to help me through. I also had the greatest helper, GOD. The 19th anniversary of my son’s death is fast approaching. On August 30 he would have been 37 and September 1 is 19 years. I still don’t believe it. The pain never goes away it does ease some over the years. I try to remember the good times and the funny times. I know that’s what he would want. Bless you.

  12. Dorothy says:

I feel honor and grateful, I have freedom in two ways: 1) I live in the United States of America so I’m able to worship however I want and multiple other things; 2) but most importantly thanks to God sending Christ, Christ dying for my sins and my receiving the Holy Spirit I have eternal freedom. Freedom and peace of mind to know I am forgiven for my sins.

Sisters, I would like to add another pray concern, my ex-sister-in-law is in the finally stages of cancer. She went home on hospice on Thursday. They told the family it would be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. My son is very close to her. She was there for him when my other son died.

Be blessed and turn everything over to the Lord.

  21. MARTHA HIX says:

Thank you Lord that you are the Spirit. I would appreciate your prayers today and this next week. A year ago my husband unexpectedly passed away and today is his first earthly birthday since his death.
Next Saturday, August 20, will be the first anniversary of his death. My adult children will be coming next weekend so that we can be together. I would appreciate your prayers for us all during this difficult time of missing him and the loss and grief, but also for joy and rejoicing in the memories we share. Thank you and I appreciate each of you for interceding so often at unexpected times this past year and the comfort and peace it has provided. ❤️
