Grace Day

Open Your Bible

John 15:3

Lent is a season where we reflect on the depth of our sin and embrace the hope and strength found only in the cross of Christ. We seek unhurried moments of quiet to read Scripture, pray, confess, and repent. Take some time today to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.”
—John 15:3

  1. Jennifer Loves Jesus says:

    (On John 15:3) The Word cleanses. As we are the branches, growing from the true Vine, we bear fruit. Glorious grapevines along valleys in the wilderness. The fruit weighs down the branches, fruit lying in the dirt sometimes. Our Husbandman lifts, prunes, and washes clean. Our Father overseeing the vineyard. We are cultivated and cared for. The grapes are growing, ripening to perfection under His care. Loving grace and mercy washing me each day. Beautiful cleansing power in the Word of God. In Jesus. Happy grace day.

    One of my favorite hymns, thanks for sharing.

  3. Kelly (NEO) says:

    Thankful for you all and your commitment to keep openning your Bibles, especially in Ezekiel. Praying the Lord will continue to open our eyes to sin and hearts to His mercy and grace in the Cross.
    REMEMBER resurrection is coming!

  4. Searching says:

    John 15:4 is also a good reminder – we NEED Jesus! “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

    Chapter 15 is an all red-letter chapter – so good.

    Praying for:

    RHONDA J – safe travels and for your family to see Jesus in you
    LYNNE FROM AL & GRAMSIESUE – healing and recovery for your husbands, strength and faith for all
    DOROTHY – Finley’s recovery and being able to stay still as needed
    HEIDI – your niece and successful detox and recovery, that she will see the hope we have in Jesus. I was so moved by you texting outside the facility, shows her how much you love her.
    SHAENA ELIZABETH – your son and the young man that was sentenced, that they would turn to Jesus and turn their lives around, that the sentenced young man would be helped and not hardened while in jail.
    TAYLOR – car repairs and thankful no injuries
    FOSTER MAMA – for whatever your life needs right now ❤️

    MARTHA HIX – hugs to you this weekend

    TERANY GARNETT, JENNIFER LOVES JESUS, TRACI GENDRON, CHANGED LIFE – and me. So thankful for forgiveness, Christ’s love and salvation, that the Lord has forgiven and forgotten those awful years of my life and yours. Even now, decades later, the evil one still whispers in my ear from time to time … remember when, wouldn’t you like to do that again … A resounding NO. Lord, help my memory to keep only that short list of sins that CHURCHMOUSE mentioned, and only long enough to seek forgiveness, and to always seek Your Word, Your ways and Your will.

    “What can wash away my sin?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
    What can make me whole again?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
    O precious is the flow
    that makes me white as snow;
    no other fount I know;
    nothing but the blood of Jesus.”
