Grace Day

Open Your Bible

1 John 5:20

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one. We are in the true one—that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
—1 John 5:20

Dear Heavenly Father, Let ME soak in your presence today, in this moment and as the day goes about let me remember. Love what you all wrote thus far in the comments. You all are such blessings!

Thank you for praying for me and my husband’s relationship! I give praise that he and I are doing so good and that we are starting an online marriage small group on Monday nights with our new Church! This is something my husband would not have done without the Holy Spirit really working within him that last couple of months! I know it is from your prayers back then!! He has connected with church, he has “preached” to his son and daughter-in-law to help the situation with our grandson, and has really shocked me in all this! lol God is good!! Prayers work. If you could keep him (us) on your prayer list that would be wonderful.

This very wintry day is the perfect backdrop for my quiet time with the Lord. My early morning encounter with Him sets the tone for the rest of the day. Resting in Him, and with Him, makes for a tender Sabbath moment. I watch the snow slowly falling and ponder His majesty. He rules Creation yet He intimately cares about my every concern. I cherish this time, this divine appointment. And I pray you all have peace this grace day.

Praying I don’t take for granted the fact I’ve been given understanding through His Spirit. Praying that I actually USE that power to see and hear others as God does. Because only then will I know what THAT individual needs to hear, needs to experience in the moment they come into contact with me. Praying I can remember that when ANYONE comes into contact with me- they are in the presence of His actual Spirit. That is such an incredible responsibility and I take it for granted way too often.

How amazing, that we are able to KNOW the true God!! The one who made the stars, the one who made every living creature, the one who made us. And yet through him, we have access to the Father by one Spirit (Ephesians 2:18). Who else is like our God? Only in him do we find true joy.

I would love your prayers today, I’m going to visit my sister and her family!! It should be a fun time, but please pray for peace and unity. My relationship with my sister has been fractured because of differences in opinion on a lot of things and some past conversations we’ve had…I have had to forgive her and her husband for things they’ve said to and about me, and it still stings sometimes…but I know that bitterness towards them won’t help anything. They are not believers even though they may think they are…please pray that God would use my witness to bring them to himself…only he can open their eyes. I dont agree with the way they are raising their kids either, my niece is very disobedient and easily throws tantrums. But she is still so sweet,I pray she and her brother come to know the Lord when they are older. Love you all, praying for the requests here, have happy Saturday!

MARIA BAER – praying for you and family today, especially your MIL and stepdaughter.

DOROTHY – praying for Susan, Paul and his children. When I read your yesterday’s post this morning, I thought What is wrong with people? Praying his children come to know the Lord and also honor their father by helping with his needs.

TAYLOR – how are you feeling?

BETH WIESER – so glad you are here! The structure & content of SRT and especially the She’s/Sisters that comment have kept me coming back each day for a few years. An honor to study and pray with/for all.

I love how they say to use this day to “rest in the presence of the Lord.” I pray that we will all be still before Him and soak up His presence!
