Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Numbers 24:17

Advent is a season to celebrate and contemplate. We rejoice that our Savior has come to us! We also seek unhurried moments of quiet to reflect on His wondrous light and the promise of His future return. Take time today to pause from the busyness of the season to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

I see him, but not now;
I perceive him, but not near.
A star will come from Jacob,
and a scepter will arise from Israel.
–Numbers 24:17

    Welcome Vicki! I am a physician and while I no longer work in a hospital setting I hear from my colleagues who do the strain of the past 2 years. So glad to see you here

    Here in Alabama my husband and I are celebrating Christmas with our daughter, son in law and granddaughter Hannah. The Christmas tree lights shine brightly and there’s sunshine coming through the windows. All is calm. All is bright.

    But,

    there are many who are waking today to toppled Christmas trees, shattered homes and businesses, injuries and death of loved ones, friends and neighbors. All is not calm. All is not bright.

    But God,

    mobilize an army of your people to be Your hands and feet, bringing light to that darkness. Let many come to sort and salvage, to rescue and restore. Let those who live far away come close with supplies and food, for we can all be family to those who are hurting and in need. Send Your counselors to comfort and encourage, bringing Your light of hope. Let others see our love and be drawn to You. Let us weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn. Let us pray for them. Let us do for them. May we not pass over this opportunity to be the good Samaritan. To You be the glory. Amen.

    @KarenYingling May your days be filled with the warmth and light of Jesus. He is with you surrounding you and your father with deep love. Know that you are not alone. Lean into this time with all fullness of grace. Holiday lights are shinning in your heart and you will hold this time, although difficult, close to your soul.

    @SarahAdams yes! Truly enjoying the beauty of the snow. I found myself giggling like a child as I tried to navigate walking through it this morning. So much snow, so beautiful in the early morning light.
    God bless you all dear sisters on this beautiful Saturday. Grace abounds.

    Searching, praising God with you! May your fight and the resolution, give them conviction and reasons to do what’s right in the future as well as right past wrongs with others, in Jesus name I pray. Kristen, love what you shared! thank you! Dorothy, praying for your soon to be DIL and her sweet Mom. May God give her healing and relief from her pain. Hoping she can feel a part of this special time through facetime or pictures. Praying His joy for all of you in the preparation, shopping and wedding. May God deeply bless it all. Time is flying by Sisters, 2022 will soon be here, praying for time to be still and be thankful for all the ways He has answered prayer, provided, strengthened, and held me in this past year and I am so very thankful, that I was never alone. And grateful for this ministry and you dear Sisters, what a gift in my sometimes really difficult days to read your words, what blessings are shared here. How good to pray with and share with and glean from all our God is doing in your hearts and lives. To our King be all glory and honor and praise. His Amazing Love to you all this day may it be multiplied as you share it with others, because that is what our Lord Jesus love does.
