Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Micah 7:19

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

He will again have compassion on us;
he will vanquish our iniquities.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea.
—Micah 7:19

    Yesterday my good friend Gretchen asked if I had read through SRT. Life got very busy yesterday and I had not read it. Very rare for me as my devotions come first before anything. Thank goodness for Grace day and I was able to read through James and it was perfect timing. Thanking my friend Gretchen as she knows what my day was like and prompted me to read through it.

    Amen Kelly. Melanie, He casts our sin into tge depths of the sea. He is so good. Praying for your family. Loving us right where we are, that is what God does. Being in the middle and meeting each side where they are with impartiality that is difficult, but that is what peacemakers and mediators do. May God give you and your husband His peace and wisdom in this. Sometimes I think it is asking others what they are afraid of. Fear seems to be the biggest barrier to forgiveness. Just a thought. Sarah Joy, pray I g you all find the fun and the joy as you pack up the sogginess. One of my favorite memories with my kids was a parade we went to, and just as the parade was about to start a torrential downpour hit. We stood under a blanket for about a minute then bolted to our car, which was about 4 blocks away. We were completely soaked as we got in the car. Then we drove to get ice cream laughing and exhilarated. Best parade ever! Praying God blesses you all with a memory to make it all joy, even if it is funny complaints. And maybe some good pancakes. Hugs Sisters.

    You know those trials of many kinds? This morning I need some kingdom perspective after sitting in our van through the second wave of a storm that brought hail and rain through our campsite. Our stuff is soaked and our tent is damaged. We are all safe, so it seems silly. Just one of those moments where you look around and cling to what is true. Looking back we could have done some things differently, but it’s just stuff and we are fine. Prayers that our girls will keep a good attitude. And even more prayers that I will have a good attitude (especially with my husband) as we pack up our soggy stuff and move on with our trip. Thankful that we weren’t expecting to camp another night and we have a place to go.

    Thank you Jesus for forgiving me of my sins. It’s hard for me me to grasp that at times that I am forgiven. Jesus remembers my sins no more!!! It’s amazing to think he feels that way about me. Please pray for me stuff with family members have become so hard. We have taken the stance of not taking sides and it has hurt my husband’s side is the family. We believe that that is what we are supposed to do however it’s hard. His side is hurt and sad they don’t understand how we can even talk to another side of the family because they have conflict. I want us all to love each other and move on but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Please pray I love them so much and my heart is so sad.

    Oh the compassion of our Heavenly Father! The mercy and grace He has poured out is unmeasurable! He is lavish in His lovingkindness and quick to forgive those who return to Him! May our hearts ever be grateful and our lips full of praise of Your goodness.
    Praying for you SRT sisters. May you be abundantly blessed with tangible evidence of God’s great love for you today.
