Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.

We say the words “freedom and justice for all”or “all men are created equal” but until we truly believe in our hearts these ideals, things won’t change. We are ALL God’s beloved chikdren and He wants us to live and love together as brothers and sisters with Christ. Racism must be called out so that it can end. We can only hope.
So simple but so powerful
12Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Love how this version says “constant”
Needs to hear this today ❤️ Happy Saturday Everyone
I do not often look at previous day’s responses, but did just that today. Thank you to the SRT sisters for bringing up white privilege. I do not believe we can heal in the states until we are willing to admit that systemic racism is alive and well here. We cannot be a great nation without lifting up all our people. I pray against all the white fear. We serve a God of abundance. When we open our hands to share, He pours in more. Help us to truly unite. Help us to learn about white privelege so we can make informed decisions. Help us to love all our brothers and sisters as co-heirs of something much bigger than this. Help us correct history to include all voices, not just those of white men. Be the bridge is a great site for info. Let us be persistent in our prayers for healing, joining with all to lift all.
Amen!
I feel like God is teaching me this verse. Life is hard on earth, but rejoice, with your confident hope in Christ. We long for the mountaintop experiences, but be patient, in the affliction, God is here even now. When the longings and anxieties of our hearts overwhelm us, don’t try to go it alone, be persistent in taking it to Him. Pray for Him to take over.
Hebrews 2:11, “For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,”
He is all that matters and everything else is loss, rubbish. Know Him! And Trust Him. He wants to sanctify your heart, give you abundant life, eternally. (Philippians 3:1-21, Zechariah 7:1-14, John 17:1-4)
Thank you Lord!! ❤️
Timely words for this season. May we all remain hopeful, patient and prayerfully persistent. Let this be our witness.
