Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.
14 How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. 16 But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message? 17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.
Romans 10:14–17

Sharing the gospel is as easy as sharing your testimony. Called to preach or not, God requires us to win souls for His kingdom. While theoretically it sounds quite simple, it requires us to be vulnerable in conversation with non-believers, of course, not the point where we allow them to influence our hearts and minds, but allow seeds to be planted about the One we serve.
Praying for guidance and wisdom!
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). Only God can grant faith to a person. Until He opens eyes, blindness persists. Praise God for the gift He gives when she opens the eyes of the heart

Praying for you and your family, Ashley.
Please pray with me that the good news of the gospel reaches my husband and he hears and believes. We have been married for 35 years, though separated for the last 3 years. He has asked for a divorce. I pray for restoration of our marriage, but more importantly, I pray for his salvation. I am not around him to share the gospel so I pray that others are put in his path that will. Nothing is too hard for God – even for Bob to be saved when it seems unlikely.
Praying for you and Bob.
I love that faith comes from hearing the Word of Christ. We just apply this to our salvation, but this is true every day of our lives!! When we need faith, we can just turn to His Word!
I have a lot of my mind right now. I got up before my alarm went off. So I slept a little less than seven hours. Instead of the first focusing on me. I read through all the comments here just know that I prayed for each and everyone of you. Trisha, you got this friend. We are all here for you. Praying that you have a speedy recovery and that you will be able to share the love of Christ with those around you. I’m off to meet with my mentor. I am so grateful for her. Many times we just sit and talk and the number one thing is when I’m all full of anxiety and unanswered questions she’ll say “let’s ask God“. Have a great weekend my dear SRT sisters.
We are blessed to have this venue to allow us to reach out to one another and ask for prayer, knowing the strength in our combined prayers and I am agreeing with all of you and your eloquent petitions on Tricia’s behalf today. Thank you sisters for allowing me to be a part of your worlds. I pray that each day, our thoughts, words, and deeds will be more reflective of our loving Savior and less of ourselves as we strive to be “godly” women in today’s society. I pray that each of you has a safe and blessed weekend.
In Youth Group we are learning about this very topic- walking across the room and presenting the Gospel to the lost. It’s such an important task God has placed on us- to spread the good news to a world in desperate need of it!
Tricia, praying for you that you would be encouraged and that your love for Jesus would shine through, no matter what your circumstances. A verse that’s been particularly sweet to me in a time of suffering is Job 23:10 and I hope this encourages you as well.
Tricia: I am lifting you up in prayer today and will continue to pray with you and for you during this journey. Our Awesome God has you in His hands! May God give peace and encouragement to your family as they walk with you through this.
Last night, my husband brought a message to the young adults in our church from this passage! It’s fun that the Lord brought it to me again today. What I hear impacts my faith.
Thank you Churchmouse. May we all be about our Father’s business!
Praying for you Tricia that God would work in a mighty and miraculous way!
Father God, You are the great physician and I trust that You are healing Tricia. Nothing is impossible for You. Bring caring and compassionate nurses across her path to provide comfort and rest. Give her doctors wisdom as they continue to monitor her recovery. Let them marvel at her faith as she draws her strength and confidence from You, the all powerful Prince of Peace. Then you that Tricia is your beloved child and You stand watch at her bedside. May she be more aware of Your presence than any pain she may be experiencing. May any medications prescribed be effective. Have her family and friends be sources of encouragement and support. May she hold fast to Your Word every day and may her room be filled with praise and thanksgiving for every little blessing. May she note each one as a gift from you. Banish any worry or fear. Bring to her mind Your words of truth and hope. Be her Rock. Shelter her under Your wings. In the dark of the night let her hear Your still small voice reminding her that You are there and she is ever Yours. At no time is she alone. May her words reflect her faith and trust in you. May she be Your light right where she is. May You be glorified. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayers for you Tricia. Jesus please protect Tricia. Please ease her pain, help her to heal, please provide well trained providers for her treatment. Surround her with uplifting family and friends.
Amen.
So I am sitting in a hospital bed after having cancer removed from my femur. The time ahead is going to be frustrating and occasionally discouraging. Please pray with me for pain control, a positive outlook, and that I can share Jesus with those around me. Thank you.
Lifting you up dear sister in Christ!
Praying for you right now Tricia that the Holy Spirit flood you with peace and God’s hand take away all pain. Praying that Jesus shines through you in every encounter you have with medical staff, family and friends. His grace is sufficient!
Praying right now for you!
Praying for you, Tricia.
Yes, Churchmouse!
Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world!!!
Persistence in presenting the Gospel is promoted in these verses. Persistence despite knowing that not all will believe. There is blessing and joy in obediently proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ to a world that isn’t aware of the danger it is in. Let us not grow discouraged or weary but obediently continue to be about our Father’s business. We are in a war zone. Let us not forget the enemy is persistent also. BUT greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world.
