Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Psalm 107:28–32

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.
29 He stilled the storm to a whisper,
and the waves of the sea[a] were hushed.
30 They rejoiced when the waves[b] grew quiet.
Then he guided them to the harbor they longed for.
31 Let them give thanks to the LORD
for his faithful love
and his wondrous works for all humanity.
32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.
Psalm 107:28–32

Just so grateful on this Grace Day for the Lord’s provision the past couple days. We can see clearly now that He is guiding us to the harbor we have longed for. We’re not quite there yet. These months of rough seas and stormy nights and gale force winds nearly sank us had we not trusted that He was still controlling the rudder. We give thanks to the Lord for His faithful love and His wondrous works as we continue on to the day our feet are on the shore. It’s coming though we know not the day or month. Sweet friend, if you are white knuckled and holding on to your little dinghy with all your strength, back bent low in the wind, do not give up. What He is doing for us, He will do for you. He is there. The timing is His. He’s holding on to You.

This has been such a refreshing study so far. I’m challenged to focus on what’s truly important {Jesus.} and shift my focus away from what I think is important.

Despite us going astray when we call on God, He shows up and shows out— quieting storms and pulling us through. God is indeed great!

28 “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.” Thank you Lord. Thank you that you redeem us out of our pits. Psalm 103:1-5. My hope is in the Lord!

Thank you for this wonderful study and the work that you do. Thank you, God, for calming my storms. In the midst of the storm, I lose sight of you sometimes. Today I am going to be purposeful in my seeing you in my storms.

I cry out to the Lord when I am hurting
He provides a new perspective on the situation
    and makes it less painful
He carries me through the deep waters
to a place of safety and love.
Praise Jesus for His never-ending love and embrace!
This is faith, to believe God will do this for me
and through grace He does every time.
