The Old Testament prophets looked forward to the day when God’s heavenly kingdom would be an everlasting presence on earth. Prophets used poetic language and imagery to suggest what this renewed world would be like.

In prayer and in the comments, reflect on any images from today’s passages that were familiar to you. What images point to the different or “beyond” nature of what’s to come?

    These passages are a great example of how God restores all things, and how much he can restore. He is also a rescuer.
