Have you ever had this experience where in smaller window of time you keep hearing the same kind of message from various people in different places? It's like, ok God, You REALLY want me to get this idea. It makes me think of school, when the teacher would repeat an idea several times, you knew that was something that would be on the test. I keep hearing people and books reference these verses about not conforming to the world.
I am so thankful that God is alive and gives us just what we need. I recently, finally, took a stand with some friends that I had from before I renewed my commitment to Christ and stated what I am no longer ok with doing or being around. I've heard back from one who was supportive and didn't hear back from the other 2. I've been feeling a guilt creeping on, like maybe I sounded judgemental or maybe I should make an effort to make sure things are ok between us… and God's word is so timely and supportive. I thank Him for guiding my path and his assurance to stand firm in his ways.

I had started listening to a Christian Radio station in the car a little over a year ago and I have seen how that has changed my thoughts. When I used to listen secular music, I would reminisce about my days when I did not align my heart and thoughts with the Lord. I enjoy getting up and reading my Bible every morning, but I too do not think much more about the scripture throughout the day, but find myself wanting to get online and see what others are saying about what we read.

Anyone else noticing a change? Now that we are all in the word more and keeping each other accountable? Now, I'm going deeper and filling my mind with more truth.

Yes! I am too! I'm actually looking forward to reading each morning as I'm becoming more aware of my thoughts & actions as well as being encouraged by everyone's comments. On Day 11 I commented about following God's will vs my own. I about fell over when I read today in Day 16's verse that by renewing my mind I WILL be able to test & approve what God's will is. I've been praying for God to align my heart with His & just realized that not only do I need my heart aligned but my mind renewed! Love these aha moments!

In EVERYTHING give thanks. I jotted a note in church a couple of weeks ago about praising God because he is worthy of my praise; not because he answered my prayers as I see fit. I know He loves me and has my best interest at heart. Todays devotional is another confirmation for me.

Today's lesson was so important. Unfortunately I often forget how important it is to renew my mind. I'll read a scripture in the morning and then not think about it again all day. That's one of the reasons I love this community, checking this site keeps God's word at the forefront of my mind.

    1. Allison says:

I am the same way! I will ready my Bible or reading plan in the morning and not think about it again! The Lord deserves so much more than that. His word is a gift…a continual gift. One I take for granted too many time.
