    1st and foremost I would like to say thank u God for giving you the gift to help the sinners turn their lives into saints. Especially the women that are trying to get into the life of christ. This site was 1st introduced to me when my cousin had mentioned it on Facebook and asked did anyone wanted to join her in reading the daily message with her. Since then I could not turn back. I want to be able to start from the beginning and catch because I NATALIE MONIQUE BLAIR(LOWRY) want to get deeper into the Lord. To be able to understand him. To hear him when he speak. To feel him. To love like him. To forgive easily. To let Jesus use me the way he needs me to. I want to be guide and not mislead. I am so grateful for shereadstruth.com. I have somewhere to go that will keep on track with the word EVERYDAY. This is like the upgrade version on OUR DAILY BREAD. So ready to begin my spiritual journey

    I love verse 12! “When you walk, you won’t be held back;
    when you run, you won’t stumble. ” (Proverbs 4:12 NLT). I imagine as you begin searching for wisdom we walk timidly, a bit scared to take a step forward. As we grow in wisdom, decisions become clearer and we go forward quickly with confidence. Love the blog, so glad I found it!

    Things that stood out to me:

    1. "The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom." I love that… so simple and to-the-point. It made me wonder what I'm doing actively to seek wisdom. Am I consuming ideas (media, conversations, etc) that offer wisdom and insight, or do I just seek out entertainment? Do I have a good enough knowledge of God's word and character to be able to draw on it when I encounter a practical situation that requires wisdom?

    2. "The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day." I can't honestly say that my righteousness/wisdom/love for God grows throughout the day… it usually wanes as I encounter various difficulties and temptations. That's probably because I'm walking in my feelings and experiences… the more time passes, the more discouraged I get by all the things that happen around me. But those who walk in wisdom can take those trials that would otherwise be stumbling blocks and turn them into fuel for an ever-brighter "fire" of righteousness.

    3. "The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble." This is really interesting. I think part of wisdom is the ability to recognize sin, and then righteousness is (in part) choosing to forsake sin. Conversely, those who walk w/o righteousness don't have the clarity to see what makes them stumble. And that clarity comes only through Jesus, who, being the light, exposes the things of darkness (1 John 1:5-7).

    4. It's interesting how v. 24-27 basically provide different dimensions of the same idea: avoid devious speech, don't avert your gaze from the path before you, and don't turn from the path you're on. They all point back to v.6 — "Do not forsake wisdom." We need to be committed to wisdom with every part of our lives — not just our actions, but also how we speak, what we look at, and what we think.

    Lots of good food for thought!
