  1. Hope E says:

“Is the Lord’s arm too short?”

    1. Carie says:

      This struck me too!

    2. Ruth D says:

Yeah, that was a little bit of a punch in the face this morning!!

  2. Katie says:

Moses sought The Lord and He provided. When Moses was done, exhausted, He sought God and God provided 70 men to help Him. I so want to always go to JESUS and seek His provision instead of stumbling around in my own strength. It doesn’t work and He is patiently waiting, ready to give me everything I need, if I will seek and rest in Him. What peace.

  3. Jennifer says:

13 So they moved out for the first time according to the commandment of the Lord through Moses.

This simple verse really touched me this morning – they moved, for the first time, according to how God was moving (via the cloud). How amazing! Day by day, God is leading us from within. He is leading His people, and what struck me in Numbers was that not only did the people feel like they were suffering, but God wasn’t having the easiest time too, evident from the fire and even His response to Moses and the people. This is a journey, and not just us. When we grieve, He is grieving. The frustration is tied in so closely, which shows how much God loves His people. ❤️

  4. Jordan says:

Father, please give me a grateful heart. Help me not to turn my back on Your amazing grace. I only want You.

  5. Shirl says:

15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

Let’s had fast to the hope that we have!

  6. Leah Swindon says:

This reminder really got to me: 11:23 The Lord answered Moses, “Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.”

When we worry or have anxiety, are we not doing the same thing? I need to remind myself this when I get stressed about things. Do I think His arm is too short?

    1. Jordan says:

God is so much bigger than we think He is. In the day-to-day life we get so busy and so focused on other things that God seems to get smaller and smaller in our minds, and then when life gets hard we doubt His ability to rescue us. Sometimes we even forget to ask. His love is so vast, so incredible, that He cares about every detail in our lives. How amazing!

    2. Lauren says:

      Yes! Wonderful point and reminder

  7. Elisha says:

What stood out for me today? That Moses cried out that the burden was to heavy, and God provided 70 others to help share his burden.

    1. Blondie 70 says:

Thanks for sharing I read that, but didn’t “see” it until you wrote it. In my life this lesson is so huge as I am taking care of my mother in Hospice in our home. God has blessed me so by all the helpers to ease my burden. I needed to read your post today…my heart is weary and I was dreading this weekend. My uncle is here for 4 days and he has been a good distraction for her, and help to me. My mother is not an easy person and has not accepted where her health is, so all I could focus on for two days is dreading having my uncle leave. Your words helped me shift my focus and count my blessing for having him here now and all the other Hospice help. My heart is full of gratitude for helping me shift my focus and heart back to gratitude.

      1. Yana says:

Dear Blondie, what a gift you are to your Mom. What blessings you have in others to give you respite. You will be in my prayers. When things get really tough find a quiet place and pray for strength and calm and then send up prayers of thanks for as many things as you can think of. You will leave your quiet time alone with Our Father refreshed and filled. God will give you manna while you are on this journey, He will not leave you alone. Thank you, sister, for loving your Mom and respecting her enough to care for her in her troubled time.

      2. Christina D. says:

What a completely humble service you are doing by providing this care for your mom. It is HARD. I am praying for you. Praying that the Lord will give you moments of respite and peace. Praying the Lord’s peace will come upon your mom and soften her during this time. Praying you will feel His presence in your home.

  8. Antimony says:

Numbers 11:5 “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic”. They were slaves in Egypt! Forced into hard labor. Exhausted and tormented. Yet looking back it seemed attractive and desirable. But we do the same thing. In misery we finally return to God with a broken heart, purposeless life, no will to live. And He cleanses and heals our hearts, restores us to fellowship with Him, and gives us a purpose – a reason to live. And for awhile we rejoice! And say, “why would I ever leave this??” But then we start to slide. And think about “how good” life was in captivity. And we despise our Savior. And the cycle begins again.

    1. Caitlin says:

This is so true in my life. Every day I mess up I am more and more thankful for the love, mercy and grace of God in my life that redeems me from every mistake. I pray that I always cling to jesus and the cross and remember sin is not worth it

    2. Angelyn says:

Antimony, I thank you so much for expressing these thoughts. I am on the downward slope of this cycle, and it is so helpful and encouraging to know that others out there fall victim to it.
