Unfortunately, modern circ is different from what they did in the OT. Modern circ removes the whole foreskin(and it’s protection and benefits) and is much more painful and traumatic. I don’t say this to guilt/shame you. I didn’t know any better before either.

Circumcision was different in the OT compared to modern medical circumcision though. Modern removes the whole foreskin(and all of the protection and benefits it provides) and is much more painful.

Why did God tell them to be circumcised in the OT, but then in the NT, it says that in new life there is neither Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised (Colossians 3:11)? New life in Jesus Christ, I assume?
Because I’m the NT, it is a circumcision of the heart. A cutting away of what is bad or sinful. It is becoming the new creation. The term has become figurative and no longer literal like it was in the OT. See these verses: https://www.openbible.info/topics/circumcision_of_the_heart
I hadn’t noticed before that after Jesus stepped into the boat they were immediately at their destination….❤️

I think it’s interesting how Jesus starts most of his sentences with “truly truly” ~
I pray to have the patience that Jesus does with the men who question him… oh how I love our Savior ♥️
❤️
I love when Peter said, “ Lord to whom shall we go , You have the words to eternal life.”
Day 7 ❤️
I don’t understand either
We cannot find life in ourselves, it is only found through the Spirit!
