The same God who descended on Mount Sinai in flames to scare the Israelites is also the same God who is gentle and humble in spirit and invites us to share in that in Matthew. God is so good

Everyday, I am loving the Word! And now I am so happy to read Moses’ journey again together with the Israelites. I am also moved by the Lord’s grace and faithfulness. He has never forgotten His Israelites despite their stubbornness. Plus Matthew 11:28-30 is such a comforting verse. God is so amazing; He can wipe away our exhaustion and tears, only if we draw near to Him. ❤️

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

    Amen!

  8. Lindsay says:

6 And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

In elementary school we used to have a moment of prayer before we started the day, but they removed that because it “offended” those who didn’t believe in Jesus. Nowadays, people can find ways to take offense to everything, especially Jesus, and further remove him from our daily life. I pray that as believers we are strong enough to stand up for Jesus and what we know is right, even at the cost of offending someone.
