A good reminder for me today:

18There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

  2. Bobbi T-B says:

We love because he first loved us! Nothing we could have done, said, or thought , could have brought us to know love with God. It is only because of the love that He so graciously poured on and into us that we are able to seek and love Him back. PRAISE be to God!

  3. Steph C says:

“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love” (1 John 4:18). Fear of God. Fear of others. Fear of the future. Fear of the past. These things used to hold me captive. I was paralyzed by fear. Knowing that I desperately needed God but terrified of Him. But He shone His love into my fearful heart. He showed me love. He forgave me and welcomed me. Now I belong to Him. I have no need to fear. God loves me. He has a plan for me. I am free to love Him and others.

    Love this direct message:
And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
No matter how hard this can be!

  5. Baylee Smithson says:

Great message today! I think it’s easy to be hateful, and to be of the world but these verses make us remember to love others and forgive no matter what the circumstance because God so loves us.

  6. Abigail says:

18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

I love this verse…it makes me revaluate my life and things I haven’t done out of fear.

  7. Jessica says:

God loves us more than we could ever imagine therefore that means that we should love one another because we need to remember to ask ourselves what would Jesus do and then do it to show Gods love for others

  8. Amanda says:

1 John 4: 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

    1. Rebecca says:

This is a powerful message that I need to remind myself daily! I must love any other as God loves me ❤️
