I’ve really loved reading 1 John. Today a huge takeaway is what love actually looks like. I think I let the world define love for me too often. I’m praying that my definition of what love is and does would come from scripture and Christ’s example, not from movies or what others tell me it should be.
23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. – 1 John 3:23
18Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
I have to remind myself that the world already hates me because of the light of Jesus in my heart. I just not be surprised, but expect it.
