Hello I’m new to this app, but I was looking for a way to be more dedicated in my reading and since I’ve had the bad habit of putting my technology before my reading time, I decided to put my reading into my technology. So hello everyone, I love this app so far :)

I like how In 1 John 2:12 he writes a letter to his little children also how he writes to God another letter it is very meaningful to see how much Jesus cares for us because we are all children of God

Such a contrast between Ezekiel 44 and the beginning of 1 John 2. Before, they had to undergo so much tedious work to sacrifice to the Lord, and now we are so so blessed to have had Jesus come and die for our sins making it no longer necessary to do all those sacrifices. Sometimes we take it for granted, but what Jesus did for us is truly amazing and is such a clear example of how much we are loved.

Don’t forget to reflect on that this Christmas. If He can show us that much love, then it only makes sense for us to share that with those around us.

I agree with you Katie. So many times I think as Christians we forget how valuable Jesus dying on the cross really was. A wise person once told me that “if you don’t know the value of something you will abuse it.” These scriptures opened my eyes to the true true value of Jesus’ death on the cross, and changed my perspective how I live my Christian life. I think this helped me go even deeper into my walk with the Lord.

thank you, Katie for this post. So true

  4. Angie says:

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

So powerful. This world is not for us.

  5. Bella says:

Two charges towards the end of chapter 2 in the book of 1 John.
The first: to remain in him. “But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him,
The second: continue in him. “And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.”

We gotta stick with Jesus. As it says in Jude–“keep yourselves in the love of God” as it says in the book of John “remain in me and you will bear much fruit” we are also reminded there of what it’s like if we do not remain in him: jOhn chapter 15:6 “if you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.”

REMAIN. HOLD FAST TO OUR SAVIOR.
    Enjoy your Monday :)

Yes! 1 John 2:9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.

I always say hate is a strong word but also is annoyance and dislike… Loving one another is key to seeing true love cover lives overall!

  7. Laura says:

9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.
Lord have mercy! Help me forgive truly and not “claim” to be something I’m not…teach me to live as You love!

Hi guys? Y’all never commented? Ok??? This is weird… Anyway……. Uhhmmmhh… Well here is a place you can chat and connect with people on the subject of Christianity. I’m Rachel. My dream life is to Marry a man named Jacob and have a kid named Joseph and one named Benjamin, like in the bible, and live in a CHRISTIAN HOME. Where we pray over dinner. Where we love unconditionally. Where we treasure our lord. Please comment!

    1. MarmeeCotton says:

Rachel Williford, you have a home to be thankful for. A dream to continue the legacy in your own home someday is a precious and worthy dream. You are off to a great foundation by reading scripture every day and connecting with other like minded women.
