  1. Joanne says:

Amen. Thank you. The contrast of various kings of this world, and in this case the prince of Egypt

  2. Avery says:

Wow, reading the contrast between Egypt’s doom and the reward of those who diligently seek him. This world is not our home. Egypt was great but the Lord took everything away so they would know He is Lord. We can not seek the things of this world but by faith we travel and seek the city the Lord has prepared for us. Amazing! God is waiting for us.

  3. Anne-Marie says:

This is such a food for my spirit today. Having faith in the Lord is pleasing to the Lord. Even if it’s a small as a mustard seed- it’s still pleasing to the Lord! This humbles my heart and makes me want to leap with joy at the same time.

Our Lord is amazing. Just overwhelming on how He is so perfect and holy. Wow!!

  4. Katrina says:

I loved reading these passages today. First from Ezekial how we’re reminded that to be seen as “royalty” we must trust and believe his path. And then Hebrews 11:40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

By FAITH and having TRUST we’re able to live our purpose the way it was meant to be lived by Him… We aren’t to force anything into happening but instead fake moments to trust and believe and reflect … Through Faith

  5. Leah S says:

I just love this verse: Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
What a great reminder that it’s not us, or our own power, but through faith and seeking God with our hearts…that’s the gift. Letting go of what we think we should control and remembering that this all starts with our faith. Then we can see how God will direct our paths. :-)

  6. Katie R says:

I love that Sarah and Rahab are included in this sort of all-star list of heroes of the faith. Neither were perfect but both trusted God and their faith had a profound impact on Israel. Both are included in the genealogy of Christ!
And overall- I just really love this chapter. Such a good reminder that I’m not the first or last person to be called to be faithful despite my circumstances and that earthly rewards, however instantly gratifying, aren’t worth trading for an intimate relationship with Christ and life with him after Earth!

  7. Shirl says:

39 And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect. an amazing hope we have in Christ that things we never see or experience on this earth may be made perfect in heaven.

  8. Shirl says:

13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
