Ezekiel 28:15 “You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created,
till unrighteousness was found in you.” Reminds me of satan’s plight which has always caused me to kinda’ feel sorry for him…. I am a painfully compassionate person, which has caused me realize that GOD IS COMPASSIONATE AND GOD IS LOVE, so I am NOT questioning GOD’s ability to judge evil and I am aware of the fact that satan is clearly evil!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

May all my hope and thanks be found in God

This reading challenges me as well. I have much to be grateful for. The description of the prince of Tyre is really pretty disgusting. So he had slaves and lots of ivory and it sounds like his focus was all about him and his comfort and his glory.

Contrast him with Paul who served God with his whole heart. Paul’s story is one of suffering but also of beautiful victory in Jesus. .

Challenged by this to not put my trust in my job, or my savings- but to put my trust in God! All I have is yours God! Help me to not be proud – I want to draw near to you with a full heart and I want to take every opportunity you give me to encourage other people!

Would you ladies please keep me in your prayers. I was doing so good keeping up with the daily reading and this month I’ve missed over a week and can’t seem to get caught up and I want nothing more than to continue reading and growing in my knowledge of god’s word.

    1. Krystle says:

Hi Amber! I’ll be praying that you’ll catch up, and in the meantime, have peace about it! Just take it a little at a time, and don’t stress about it. I’ve been behind before, and let myself get discouraged and quit! Don’t do that! If you feel like you can’t catch up, just start again on the current day. All that’s important is that you stay in the Word. ❤️

This is so uplifting. I can get so discouraged with all of the cynicism in the world, and even in our own homes. But God wants us to love and encourage each other, to have compassion on those in prison. Not judge. Help me to continue to love others as Jesus wanted with a generous and grateful heart.

  6. Katrina says:

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews has been refreshing for me. We’ve had discussions in Sunday School class recently and some believe you can lose your salvation from sinning. No, I don’t believe that is so! We have free will, we can go on sinning deliberately, but must know there are consequences for that willful choice. ” The Lord will judge his people and it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Getting down to it, it’s whether one has truly received God’s gift of salvation to begin with…change is hard, leaving sinfulness is hard, but God is gracious, loving, and merciful and we strive daily to live as He wants us to live.

    1. Pam B says:

I’m not sure where people get the idea that salvation can be lost. That idea is not found anywhere in Scripture. It also takes alway all of Christ’s power if the salvation He provides for us can be lost. Once you have accepted Christ, God has you in His hand and nothing can take you out of it. “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:28-30

Thank you so much for sharing this!

    2. Heidi L says:

Amen. Phil 1:6 “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

  8. Nicole says:

Ezekiel has been completely owning me haha!! I appreciate that nothing is sugar-coated here, that I am by nature sinful and only through Jesus am I made new! 2″Because your heart is proud,
and you have said, ‘I am a god,
I sit in the seat of the gods,
in the heart of the seas,’
yet you are but a man, and no god,
though you make your heart like the heart of a god—”
