  1. Gricelda Walters says:

The Bible says nothing about God being a she….
    It will be Jesus!

  2. Gricelda Walters says:

    So good!

  3. Leigh Mackenzie says:

This is my first time reading the Bible in the ESV translation. I saw two things in today’s reading I hadn’t noticed before in the years I’ve been reading in the NIV and NIV84!

My mentor suggested to try a different translation every once in a while as it often gives a new perspective on the scriptures. She was so right!

      Agreed!

I enjoy reading the message version as well. It’s in today’s terminology and helps when the scripture is confusing to me

    ❤️

  5. Sarai Romero says:

I’m glad we are constantly welcomed in by the father. We have the opportunity to be part of the sheep who follow Jesus!

    1. Sharon Ide says:

What confidence we can have with the truth that Christ knows us each, has made us to know him and follow him, and that none could snatch us out of the Father’s hand. It is all your doing, Lord and we praise you for it.

  7. Sarah Knickerbocker says:

God’s promise is so great that he never takes it away despite our many and often times repeated mistakes. Issac repeated Abraham’s mistake, and God still blessed him. I pray that I will strive to be the good shepherd and learn from past mistakes, knowing I have God’s promise with me that can not be overcome by any of my shortcomings.

  8. Amber Haggard says:

What is up with these men telling people their wives are their sisters?! Lol. 2 times with Abraham and now once with Isaac!

    1. Jessica Byers says:

I was wondering this also! Lol

      1. Carly Plugers says:

Literally on my list of questions to ask my pastor lol. I honestly don’t understand it

      2. Gricelda Walters says:

        Fear….

      3. April Berryman says:

Not trusting that God would protect them and their wives. They feared that the king or his men would kill them and take their wives as their own. How many times do we try to fix a situation and not let God do the work? Then He has to fix the situation we have ourselves in also.

    2. Donna Valenzuela says:

Because back then men would kill husbands for their wives. So if they just said oh she’s my sister they wouldn’t bother, because they knew she wasn’t attached to a husband. I know weird though lol
