At this time of setting goals and making plans for the year ahead we would all do well to remember that any success or failure is all dependent on whether it is Gods will. Really timely reading from James today,

The readings in Job make me thing of the song “Yes I Will” that we have sang in church lately. Yes I will, sing for joy, when my heart is heavy!

I love how James calls us to change our language not to talk about our plans but to reframe our language and mindset “If it’s God will, we will do this or that…..”

Imagine the power if we talked and thought like that all the time, we would see God in so much more and recognise his sovereignty.
