  2. Kristen S says:

    I have been feeling so… Off lately. I couldn’t put my finger on it. I couldn’t think of any one thing that was weighing me down and yet I felt heavy, bogged down, like something was hovering over me and I couldn’t breathe. Today my church started a series on spiritual warfare and it was like a light turned on. Our pastor discussed the importance of BEING in the word daily, KNOWING the word intimately and MEMORIZING/writing it in/on our hearts. Then I read this Psalm and I feel like life has been breathed back into me. I think the enemy was just weighing me down, trying to cast me into my old traps of anxiety, stress and maybe even depression. But I have a great and mighty Father who came and provided me with just what I needed to get back up and keep going. Praise Him! Thank you Jesus!

    1. Caris Nickerson says:

      Kristen thank you for those words, I’ve felt similarly and often forget about the battle that we face spiritually every moment of every day. this is so encouraging, praise the lord for my sisters in Christ.

    2. Hesaved83 says:

      Our pastor is also doing a series on spiritual warfare! Today he spoke on the weapons that we have against Satan – the sword of the Spirit (the word of God), and also PRAYER. I’m praying for all believers in these days, because I do think that the Church is under attack. Praise God, the victory is already won!

  3. Laura says:

    37 Turn my eyes
    from looking at what is worthless;
    give me life in Your ways.
    38 Confirm what You said to Your servant,
    for it produces reverence for You.
    39 Turn away the disgrace I dread;
    indeed, Your judgments are good.
    40 How I long for Your precepts!
    Give me life through Your righteousness.

    41 Let Your faithful love come to me, Lord,
    Your salvation, as You promised.

    Truth! So humbling and so good! So needed! Like the air I breathe! So thankful for our good Father who gives so freely of Himself in His word! Thank God! In this broken life and terrifying world we have HOPE in HIM ALONE!!!

  4. Leah Swindon says:

    119: 36 Turn my heart toward your statutes
    and not toward selfish gain.
    37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
    preserve my life according to your word.

    There’s just so much to rest in over these 48 verses. The joy and trust and longing to be in communion with our God. Happy Sunday friends!
