ANTIMONY – hi I don’t know if you are still here? I am about a month behind on the reading plan. Anyway, I have been reading your comments about how you struggle with God loving you? If no one else has recommended this to you I really think you should read The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning. It’s a game changer. Trust me :-) blessings to all you ladies – I am trying to catch up but please know your comments are helping me immensely! I love the SRT community x

Lauren- I heard B Mannings Ragamuffin Gospel was a life changer. Some of my friends raved about that book — God’s forgiving nature and His love for the unworthy being undeniable. But these same friends stopped reading his works as he leads people down the wrong path of contemplative spirituality and centering prayers used by mystics. I know he died in 2013 so there will be no more books written but I’m thankful for the lives he touched for God in his first book and pray we can all be discerning in our walk with God and ask Him to guard our hearts and minds. Blessings to you and all the SRT sisters who help along the path!

        Hi Heidi

I did not find that in the Ragamuffin Gospel. He encourages people to pray and meditate but I don’t see anything wrong with that! I haven’t read any of his other works but will certainly do so at some point given how helpful I found that book to be. I think he has a lot of wisdom to share. I didn’t know he had died, how sad!

Ladies, please pray today for my mother in law’s salvation. she is nearing the end of her life, and she has never felt the need of Jesus in her life. She is in Florida and we are in Ohio. Pray that God is able to reach her heart before it is too late.

  6. Katrina P says:

Finding strength through Faith is key to living life confident and worry-free! I’m still working on the worry part and have to remember in the moments I’m unsure, He already has my back and me worrying isn’t going to change the best laid plans!

Isaiah 7:9 “… If you are not firm in faith,
you will not be firm at all.’”

      1. Lisa says:

Praying for your requests. I prayed for over 30 years for my dads salvation. He started having heart problems and was in and out of the hospital for about six months but not only did he accept Christ he was able to experience a relationship before he passed. Never give up praying!!

  7. Elena says:

“Be careful, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint…” (Isaiah 8:4)

I’m writing out these words and carrying them with me wherever I go today. Wow.

    1. Gabrielle says:

This is such a wonderful verse. Jesus has been challenging my fears for a while now and I’m always amazed at the freedom that comes from releasing what I thought was so precious.

    2. Amy says:

Love love love this. Thank you for emphasizing this verse!

  8. misce says:

“Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.” – Isaiah 7:9

“Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the One who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe.” – Isaiah 8:13-14
