So many great things in these passages today!

  2. Erin Latham says:

This was interesting to me today

19 As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart.
20 Death and Destruction are never satisfied,
    and neither are human eyes.

This one stuck out to me too! So much truth

  3. Monica Mckinny says:

The history nerd in me loved the verses in Acts telling of when we were first called Christians = followers of Christ! Followers of God’s son! We believe He is the awaited messiah & because of that we are Christians!
    Acts 11:
25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

  4. Bre says:

And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean. – Acts 10:28
So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?” When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.” – Acts 11:17-18
I LOVE this. Peter went and spoke of the Lord to them, even though it was considered an “unclean act”. The Lord reveals Himself to EVERYONE, even the ones WE consider the most undeserving of His love – though really we ALL are equally undeserving. Just as Peter did, we should listen to the Lord’s calling and not consider anyone unclean. Don’t stand in the Lord’s way! Share with everyone, because we all are given the same gift of amazing grace.

I was moved in the same way by this scripture! I think it’s such an inspiring message in how we should live life

  5. Steph W says:

This was my same exact thought, Heather!

  6. Heather says:

14 He who blesses his friend with a loud voice early in the morning,
It will be reckoned a curse to him.
I had to laugh at this one. Not a morning person at all, so I agree! Haha!

    1. Stac says:

Heather, I had a friend text me @ 5 this morning. I almost replied with this verse! lol

    2. Pam B says:

Right there with you Heather! I’m not a morning person either. :-)

    3. Cortney says:

Agreed on this verse! Stuck out to me, too!

  7. Katrina P says:

Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues,
but the righteous are bold as a lion.

FEAR of the unknown circumstances not yet shouldn’t scare us. He keeps us strong and for Him we should remember WHO keeps us that way. Have you LEAD Or LIVED our of FEAR? I’ve lived and lead out of fear before and that’s no way to live. I’ve had to learn to lead life out of LOVE and do what’s right so that my honor comes from within from Him and encourages others to do the same! What do we have to be scared of if we do what’s right and use kindness?

    1. Andria says:

I love this Katrina – that verse really stood out to me as well! Anxiety and worry are so prominent in our lives today for no true reason. Whom shall I fear? What shall I fear? The answer is nothing – we are loved and He is with us now and in everything that is yet to come.

      1. Melinda says:

        I love this, thank you!

  8. Alexandra says:

It’s so amazing and encouraging to read about the early church’s ministry to gentiles. I read that and can’t help but thank God for his grace. Without that early ministry, I wouldn’t be here!

    1. Melinda says:

      Amen ❤️
