  2. Kate Beil says:

I love how the people feared the Lord and were comforted by the Holy Spirit

  3. Sharon Ide says:

Walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. May your church today be so oh Lord.

    1. Kate Beil says:

That also stood out to me!

  4. Ryann says:

An amazing reminder of how we serve a just God that is compassionate and forgiving!

  5. Brit says:

Yes Stacy that’s great! God often uses people in our lives to help guide us as well. Maybe going to a religious friend that may be where you want to be in life to ask for counsel and advice or to just have a conversation about life may also help you! Also using the will he already has for you and me that you know and acting on it will help you morally help decide what is right!

  6. Stacy B says:

I have been looking for answers front the Lord but feel uncertain of how to ‘see’ them. I have been anxious but Prov.21:5 reminded me that the plans of the diligent will lead to abundance… Im taking that to mean I’ll move forward as planned but in a concise way–no haste.

Isn’t it amazing how each devotional has a direct translation to our lives? That every time I read I feel as if he’s speaking directly to me?!

      I agree!

  7. SarahMay says:

I don’t have time to elaborate today, but what struck me about both passages is the Sovereignty of God–He controls and oversees everything, from kings to our steps to the wicked to the impoverished. Even how His Word is spread when the Church is persecuted or a girl brought back to life. It amazes me to ponder it–surely He is sovereign over the issues in my life, my nation, my world today as well!

  8. Marlaena says:

19 It is better to live in a desert land
than with a quarrelsome and fretful woman. I looked up the definition of fretful and it was “upset and worried, not relaxing or restful”. This really hit home for me because I am so often filled with worry and unable to feel truly at rest. My husband told me he wishes I would smile more. That is really sad. I need to keep digging into the Word so I can find the joy of the Lord and give Him my worries.

    1. Missy says:

I’m praying with and for you Marlaena. It’s easier said than done, not worrying that is. However, you can do it with God’s help. Why not just start small. When the next anxious thought comes verbally arrest it with God’s Word, your favorite song, or a precious memory. You’ve got this. One thought at a time.

      1. Stacy B says:

I’m moved by this and will be practicing this today. I feel righteous and fulfilled though my marriage is the one area of imbalance–I realize I’m ‘that’ woman. Not always, but too often.
