    All the pictures that are used in children’s Bible stories always showed the Ethiopian in his chariot by himself. I don’t know why I never realized that he had a driver, and that that man also heard what was being discussed about Jesus!

      This reminds me that our actions are rarely for only one persons’ benefit. God can use us in ways we never see available!

    Proverbs 18:1 Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire;
    he breaks out against all sound judgment. – it’s crazy how God is able to transform us! I started a blog in 2012 to open up and let people into my life … Into my goals… And since that time I’ve realized how important it is to be LOUD with our story and with our goals! Our stories aren’t meant to be hidden but are meant to help others. I met my husband who has T1 Diabetes and kept it super quiet but now understands he has to share – he has to help someone else in the struggle. It’s so amazing to see scripture come to life!

    The same thing stood out to me! The Lord leads us where he wants us.

    1. Emily S says:

      Yes! God is amazing how he leads us! Also in v.29-30, how crazy it must have been for Philip to be asked by the Holy Spirit to walk over to this stranger in a chariot, and not know what about or anything.

      But he obeys anyways, and hears him reading Isaiah, and probably got excited, realizing that God was at work here, stepped up, and let God’s spirit through him share about Jesus!

      I’ve actually gone out in malls and parks to talk to people about Jesus, and have had similar times when the spirit said “Go”; and it takes a lot of trust in God to walk up and say hello! How cool it must have been for Philip to walk up and see they’re already reading scripture! How God leads Philip and works out the entire situation for him is incredible!

      I want to trust God more like Philip to follow through and know that He’s worked out everything ahead of time, and will provide me with the words to say.

    Acts 8:39-40 – wow!!! My study bible says this indicates quite clearly that the Lord performed an amazing miracle here. And I never noticed this before!

    Proverbs 17:6 Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,and the glory of children is their fathers.—-This verse stood out for me today. Probably because I will be seeing all my grandchildren this week-end. :-) So nothing deep just absolute joy and thanksgiving for the blessing of my children and grandchildren !
