It really got me when i read “The Lord is with you when you are with him, if you seek him he will be found by you, but if you abandon him he will abandon you”

And i realised how blessed i am to be born in the time i am where Jesus has died on the cross for us and our sins and we are able to have that one on one relationship with God! And when we seek him he will answer us, and if we abandon him he doesn’t abandon us, instead he sit there knocking and waiting for us to come back to him and open that door to let him in.

Interesting how the rise and fall of King Asa of Judah (2 Chron 15&16) almost seems to be addressed in the NT reading (Lk12:35ff): “stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning. So sad that he sought the Lord diligently for 36 years and then the last 3 it seems like he pouted because God scolded him. And yet… do I do that? Hmmmm

I love the relationship that is described here. A lot of time I feel like we think God is just looking out for us, and he is, but when we are following him in everything we do his eyes are on us and his hand protects us that much more

    Good reminder Michelle!

19And there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.
I was fascinated that Asa followed for so long and then towards the end lost faith. It’s a good reminder to stay vigilant in our walk
