  1. E Hong says:

24You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory.-ellie

  2. Michelle Chen says:

26My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
A good reminder always. It’s not about what I can do, but it’s all about Him

  3. Stacey Cochran says:

Amazing truth: 25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Reading the HCSB version this year and the phrasing of Ps 73:28 struck me: “But as for me, God’s presence is my good. I have made the Lord God my refuge, so I can tell about all You do.” I have seen how GOOD it is to dwell in His presence daily–may I never forget & never rush through.

I felt the same way about Psalm 73 as so many here. I was feeling overwhelmed with details if life- insurance, finances, health issues… then opened and read this. I felt like God was speaking to me at that very moment- He is so real and alive! Present to me and speaking to me in conversation. ❤. He is my joy and peace.

I love the reminder that even though our lives aren’t perfect now, one day they will be because of Christ!

Yes I agree! I love reading psalms every week and today is no different. I went back through and read it again and these verses of Psalm 73 stood out: 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart
    and my portion forever.
After doing this study and reading the bible daily (almost halfway through!) ive come to realize that our struggles aren’t without purpose & that God will never abandon us if we just have faith in him. nothing else on this earth really matters if I haven’t opened my heart to God and I know and believe this, but I still feel that I struggle because I can’t say right now that this earth has nothing i desire besides him. I’ve recognized that I have a need for control over my life & that I idolize certain things such as exercise (probably to give me a sense of control ha), which is not what God has intended for me. Immersing myself in the bible & making time for God everyday is new to me, but I hope & pray that I can let go of my need for control & wholeheartedly trust in his plans for me, and that I can continue to strengthen my faith and make God the center of my life and come to a place where I desire nothing else besides him.

    1. Marlaena says:

Amen, sister! My thoughts and prayers exactly!

    2. Kylee says:

Yes! We all have junk in our lives that we desire more than Him but He sees us and knows our hearts – my prayer for you and all of us is that we would grow towards an utter dependency on Him that nothing BUT Jesus can satisfy!! He is all we need….Lord, let it be enough!!
