  3. Antimony says:

1 Cor 15:22 “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive”. Such a simple statement. Yet, if it is true, what profound truth.

    1. Gabrielle says:

Yes I love the parallel and the truth in this statement! The Word is so beautiful!

  4. Antimony says:

This, then, is the Gospel. The “good news” so to speak: “that Christ died for our sins … that he was buried … that he was raised on the third day … that he appeared to [many people after He was resurrected]”.

I love the book of Ruth!

Today this scripture stood out to me.., it reminds me that God is faithful even though we may not see it, and he won’t change his plan if we get a little emotional about things.
It seemed like a raw deal, but she didn’t return empty like she perceived and what followed after (remembering we know the outcome, she didn’t at the time and was walking through what seemed to be a hopeless broken situation)

It’s beautiful, God is good and faithful in our lives and situation and brings to mind “humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and he will lift you up in due time”

19 So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they came to Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them. And the women said, “Is this Naomi?” 20 She said to them, “Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went away full, and the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the Lord has testified against me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?”

I was reminded today of God’s sovereignty. The story of Ruth was a map of just how God will direct our steps when we submit to His will. All we need to do is trust Him. He has such amazing plans for His people. We need not fear the future. Making what seems to be the smallest of decisions can be the seed that leads to the greatest journey…When we submit our lives to Him!

  7. misce says:

Ruth was:Loyal (1:16) hard working (2:2) faithful (2:7), grateful (2:10), humble (2:13) thoughtful (2:18) submissive (3:5) loving with an unusual kind of love (4:15) that she earned her reputation in a foreign land (3:11)…

In the end, God rewarded her character and accomplished His purpose through her! Amazing!

Lord, I long for the same to happen to my life! By Your Grace and through Your Spirit, help me to live my life like Ruth! in Jesus Name! Amen! :)
