Hey ladies! Can you believe we’ve finished Galatians and Ephesians together as a community! I don’t know about you, but after reading His truth each day–whatever the time of day–it is always such an encouragement to read through the comments and be a part of the discussion of this family of sisters. I am so encouraged to scroll through the photo stream on Instagram. I am so challenged when I read through the twitter stream.
We were created for community. We were created to read His truth together. Taking time to be quiet and still is absolutely needed, but so is community. There is much to be learned in spurring one another on. There is beauty in the vulnerability.
There is just something about reading His truth together, isn’t there?
And today is a Grace Day. It’s been a while since we’ve had one! Sisters, His grace is abundant. It is overflowing. Take time today to rest in Him. Take time today to be still. Or take time to send an email to encourage someone. Take time to pray for a friend. Choose to come before Him, and then allow Him to impact your day.
We can’t wait for tomorrow, so we can hear about how He impacted your day!
And now just a few housekeeping goodies:
Schedule Stuff
So, after reading your feedback from our little survey (if you haven’t taken it yet – please do! we want to hear from/about you!), we decided that it might be easier for y’all if we give you a bit more of a big-picture vision for our devotional plans through the end of the year. Will this be helpful to y’all?
Tomorrow: Our regularly scheduled She Shares link up. We love hearing what God is doing in this community!
Sunday: Sundays are typically Memory Verse days with a lock screen graphic for you to grab for your phones. In the coming weeks, we are planning to add a She Prays time on Sundays. We want to give a day and a space for y’all to share and pray and praise God together. In the meantime, if you have a prayer need, email [email protected] to let us know.
October 22nd: This coming Monday we will begin studying Paul’s letter to the Philippians and that will wrap up on November 1st. And y’all? You are going to love it! Sisters got COMFY up in Philippians. And that says a lot since it’s a letter written from prison. Definitely join us!
November 5th: Next, we’ll study Paul’s letter to the Colossians. An excellent book that’s all about the fullness that comes from life with Christ. The Holy Spirit is working in us as we write devotionals for this book, and we hope he will do the same for you.
November 19th- December 1st: Once we wrap up Paul’s letters, we are going to spend two weeks in Thanksgiving to the Father through His word. I’m really looking forward to these weeks of scripture praise!
December 2nd – 29th: Advent. I’m not kidding you, I cannot wait to worship Him and prepare my heart for the Advent of Christ with y’all. As we’ve been preparing scriptures and reading the Old Testament prophets I am just overwhelmed with anticipation. There is more we have to share about SheReadsTruth + Advent, but that will come in good time. Let’s just say that we are praying that it will be a real blessing to you and your peoples.
And that brings us to the end of the year! And hopefully having a big-picture plan of the months ahead will allow you to plan these studies with other women in your community. Use us for Bible Studies or small groups if you like! We’d love to hear what you’re doing.
Bottom line – we’re going to keep reading God’s word and we’re going to keep doing it together and we are so excited to have you each doing it with us. Thank you for being a part of our community!

I am so happy for this devotional to come to every day!
I've really been struggling to stay caught up with this study 'cause my schedule's been crazy and I've been really tired lately (not that that's a good excuse). But I'm grateful for grace days and hopeful that starting Philippians next week will go better.
Grace days are some of my best days. I love routine and schedule, but sometimes feel like I get to committed to that and my devotional time is another 'check off my list'. To actually just enjoy Him in Him and purely just Him is an amazing reminder of grace to me. Thanks for the reminder:)
So excited!!!! God's word does not go out void so amazing things have and will continue to keep happening:):):)
Gosh, I am so so SO excited for every single study for the rest of the year! Thank you for posting up the schedule. That makes this little planner's heart happy :)
xoxo J
I am really enjoying this study. However youverse does not register my Saturday’s as complete. Therefore, it never registers that I have completed the study. Has anyone else reported having this problem?
Amy! Let me contact You Version about your question, k?
I have to check the boxes for the readings and click on the devotional part in order for it to register mine as complete. This is on an iPhone.
I had that problem the first time. I had only checked the check box for the first reading (and there were multiple chapters) and so then it didn't register the day as complete. Is that what happened to you?
I really enjoyed going through Ephesians with SheReadsTruth. I really connected with verse 5:8 "For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord." And in the devotional talking about what we can do to be the light. I feel inspired and closer to God. I'm looking forward to going through Philippians with you all!
I could not be more EXCITED to see what God has in store for us the rest of the year. The ANTICIPATION I have for the Advent season, a time to celebrate and worship the coming of Christ, is palpable. So blessed to share in it with these wonderful women – true sisters in Christ
i'm really excited about everything through the rest of the year. i didn't think that i needed to know, but seeing what's coming is only getting me more pumped about this community. thank you all so much for this!
My heart just got 3 sizes bigger and so warm reading this post. I am so happy for this community, and where it is going. I am also SOOOOO excited to spend the holidays learning, growing and worshiping with all of you ladies :)
This schedule is making me so excited! Thank you so much, ladies. It has been a while sine I've been TRULY excited to be in the Word. I praise God for what He is doing through you. Thank you so much for the work you have put into this project. I'm sure we all can't even begin to imagine the ways the Lord is using She Reads Truth!
I am so looking forward to the upcoming studies. SO much. This community has brought me closer to God and His word. I spend so much time lurking here but I really should join in the discussion more!
Please join us!! You are a blessing to all of us! And your words are an encouragement! Don't be afraid to use your voice!
Thank you so much for your encouragement! I am a new believer who is still trying to find my way. This community has been so welcoming!
That's one of the best parts of this community! It is made up of LOTS of women from LOTS of different backgrounds with LOTS of different ideas/thoughts/experiences/etc. and some of been believers for a long time and others are brand new. There is so much to learn from each other!
You are such a blessing!! This community has very quickly become a part of my morning. You have a true gift…Thank you for sharing it with us!
Ladies! I “just stumbled” upon this She Reads Truth as I was browsing for a new reading plan on YouBible. (Can’t believe how much I use my phone!) Looking forward to exploring the Scriptures in this venue. See you in cyberstudy!
Welcome, Debi! I think you might love it here!
I love getting excited about/anticipating things, so just seeing your thoughts for the rest of the year lets me do that. :-) Thanks. I am definitely excited.
Will you guys continue to put the studies in the YouVersion app?
Hey Shelley!
Yes – we are planning for Phil, Col, Thanksgiving and Advent to all be available on the YouVersion app. It seems to be a really useful/accessible way for our community to study together. Agree?
xoxo
Absolutely!! very excited to continue on with you ladies :-)
Thank you for doing this via youversion, that means that i can follow you through my bible in my own language. It is very important to me. The bible is not easy to read in a foreign language. I am so thankful that you are doing this, you would never know how much this means to me. God bless you all. kari
I have been so blessed since reading with you all and I am looking forward to growing more in Christ with this group! Thank you for all you do!
Oh Thank you Thank you Thank you! Now I can encourage other sisters to join BEFORE the fact by enticing them with specific studies!!! Seeing what’s coming up makes me truly giddy!!! Finding this study and community has been such a God send! I’ve been searching for a place that would encourage me to read the scriptures and give me a DESIRE for The Word, for a quiet time and more for Him! #Shereadstruth is the avenue that God used to get me into His Word and to be stinking EXCITED about it!!! Thank you!
Thank you for the sacrifice that you all are making in putting this together. You are changing lives in this community! Excited to start Philippians!
Very excited about the upcoming studies! I’m so grateful for this community, and the friends I’ve made!
Love the idea of She Prays, it’ll make the community feeling so much more graspable.
Looking forward to finishing out the rest of the year with you all in Gods word :) Thank you ladies so much for taking the time to put this together for us. I know you are sacrificing time you could use to be doing other things and I appreciate that you continue these studies regardless. They are truly a blessing!
I'm so excited for Philippians! We've been studying that letter since April at my church and it has been CONVICTING to say the least! God has been on the move in a BIG way with Philippians.
I can't wait to read it with this community and learn more from a new angle!
So grateful for you all – truly. Though I haven't spoken up much in the past, I've been right along side the whole way. Thank you all for your sweet hearts and inspirational faith in Him!
We're so glad you're here with us, Lauren! And more, that you're there with Him!
I love this community and can't wait to start Philippians!
