grace + vision

Hey ladies!  Can you believe we’ve finished Galatians and Ephesians together as a community!  I don’t know about you, but after reading His truth each day–whatever the time of day–it is always such an encouragement to read through the comments and be a part of the discussion of this family of sisters.  I am so encouraged to scroll through the photo stream on Instagram.  I am so challenged when I read through the twitter stream.

We were created for community.  We were created to read His truth together.  Taking time to be quiet and still is absolutely needed, but so is community.  There is much to be learned in spurring one another on.  There is beauty in the vulnerability.

There is just something about reading His truth together, isn’t there?

And today is a Grace Day.  It’s been a while since we’ve had one!  Sisters, His grace is abundant.  It is overflowing.  Take time today to rest in Him.  Take time today to be still.  Or take time to send an email to encourage someone.  Take time to pray for a friend.  Choose to come before Him, and then allow Him to impact your day.

We can’t wait for tomorrow, so we can hear about how He impacted your day!

And now just a few housekeeping goodies:

Schedule Stuff

So, after reading your feedback from our little survey (if you haven’t taken it yet – please do! we want to hear from/about you!), we  decided that it might be easier for y’all if we give you a bit more of a big-picture vision for our devotional plans through the end of the year. Will this be helpful to y’all?

Tomorrow: Our regularly scheduled She Shares link up. We love hearing what God is doing in this community!

Sunday: Sundays are typically Memory Verse days with a lock screen graphic for you to grab for your phones. In the coming weeks, we are planning to add a She Prays time on Sundays. We want to give a day and a space for y’all to share and pray and praise God together. In the meantime, if you have a prayer need, email [email protected] to let us know.

October 22nd: This coming Monday we will begin studying Paul’s letter to the Philippians and that will wrap up on November 1st. And y’all? You are going to love it! Sisters got COMFY up in Philippians. And that says a lot since it’s a letter written from prison. Definitely join us!

November 5th: Next, we’ll study Paul’s letter to the Colossians. An excellent book that’s all about the fullness that comes from life with Christ. The Holy Spirit is working in us as we write devotionals for this book, and we hope he will do the same for you.

November 19th- December 1st: Once we wrap up Paul’s letters, we are going to spend two weeks in Thanksgiving to the Father through His word. I’m really looking forward to these weeks of scripture praise!

December 2nd – 29th: Advent. I’m not kidding you, I cannot wait to worship Him and prepare my heart for the Advent of Christ with y’all. As we’ve been preparing scriptures and reading the Old Testament prophets I am just overwhelmed with anticipation. There is more we have to share about SheReadsTruth + Advent, but that will come in good time. Let’s just say that we are praying that it will be a real blessing to you and your peoples.

And that brings us to the end of the year! And hopefully having a big-picture plan of the months ahead will allow you to plan these studies with other women in your community. Use us for Bible Studies or small groups if you like! We’d love to hear what you’re doing.

Bottom line – we’re going to keep reading God’s word and we’re going to keep doing it together and we are so excited to have you each doing it with us. Thank you for being a part of our community!
