14 days! {an app update}

We have exactly 2 weeks — fourteen days — left in our SheReadsTruth Kickstarter campaign. 

Last night I dreamed we launched the SheReadsTruth app with a beautiful array of Bible translations to choose from. It was pure bliss, that image of you all picking up your phones, scrolling down to your favorite translation and clicking to read words written straight from the heart of God to the heart of you.

This is our dream (and yours!), but it is only a small part of the vision God has given as He has molds this community into something revolutionary.

Did you know you are revolutionaries? 

You are.
You are tens of thousands of women who come together from opposite ends of the neighborhood, the country, the ocean.
You are women with all different colors of skin and hair and eyes, with different names and different laughs.
You are Sisters holding hands through a computer screen, disagreeing on the small things but holding fast to The Only Thing.
You are daughters who want a relationship with your Heavenly Father that goes wider and deeper than mere formality.
You are women who long for beauty to come from within, for your words to echo grace, for your hands to do what is just and merciful and kind.
You are warriors who pray for women you’ve never met, families you’ll never see, jobs and marriages and Very Hard Things you could easily ignore but you don’t.
You are choosing to show up, to be real, to be transformed.

What you are doing here is revolutionary.
The way you love each other and look for God and lift each other up? It is revolutionary. 

This revolution is not just affecting you. It is changing your friends and your families. It is changing the lives of the strangers you meet and the work you do. The Living Word is alive in you and that changes everything. 

You see, this app is not just an app.
It is a step of faith,
the next step in a journey
on a long, glory-filled road,
a road that points all who walk it
to Jesus.

This app is the next step toward a community where more women are welcomed just as they are, wherever they are, through big open doors and into the pages of scripture every single day. A community built not around a web site, but around Jesus — with rooms to encourage and pray for one another. A community that offers smaller groups for deeper study. A community that facilitates connections to local churches where you can go and grow and be known in your everyday real life. A community that offers resources you can hold in your hand and use to color your desk and your walls and your life with Truth at every turn. A community to help equip your groups and your families and your real-life friends to study God’s word together. This app is just a tiny part of the vision God has given this community.

We have 14 days left in our Kickstarter campaign.

We have already funded the iOS app (YAY!!) and we are only $7,000 away from funding the Android app (Yippee!!!).
