Isaiah 26:3

Text: Isaiah 26:3

We believe that memorizing scripture is one of the best ways to carry the Word of our God with us wherever we go – to have God-breathed truth, instruction and reproof in our hearts and minds as we live unto Him each day.

For our Weekly Truth, we’ve chosen Isaiah 26:3, a sweet promise from the Lord as we learn to meditate on His Word.

You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 26:3, ESV

I am really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A number of my blog readers have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this issue?|

I also looked in different translations. I liked the NIV: "You keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you." It helped me focus on what I should be doing (and was gender neutral – which I also liked.)

For me too, this was a reminder that if you keep your mind trained to God, you will have peace of mind. It's not an absolute promise of peace – but for me it's "focus your mind on me and I'll give your mind peace."

And my first lock screen! What a great idea!

Boy, how I needed this. Lord, humble me and cause me to submit my heart to you fully. I can't do this all on my own. I need to trust you. Help me to.
Have a great day, sisters. xo

This came at the perfect time for me. We just buried my grandfather yesterday and the only way that me or anyone in my family will be at peace is if we are in The Lord. He is the perfect peace, he gives peace, and if we know Him, reading, study and mediate on His Word we will be keep in perfect peace if we keep our minds stayed on Him. Thanks for this!

This is one of my favorite verses. Especially from the Contemporary English Version . "The Lord gives perfect peace to those whose faith is firm." At times I need reminding of this. Is my faith as it should be? Blessings for all this Lord's day.

Thank you for this to start of the new week! Praying to remain focused on Christ at all times, trusting in His perfect plan for my life! Makes me think of the hymn ‘Come Though Fount of Every Blessing’ –

‘Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
    Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.’

Thank you so much for being the vessel through which our mighty God can deliver incredibly timely reminders to His children. Woke up way too early this morning from a really bad dream, to find Isaiah 26:3 to meditate on. It is soothing my heart slowly but surely.

  22. Claire says:

Thanks for another beautiful lock screen- I found last week I was so calm. I expected to look at it many times and be reminded not to let the anger eat me up but instead I don’t think I got angry once.

Interestingly todays verse is quite different in different translations

    Isaiah 26:3 NLT

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

It helped me read it in King James version too-Isaiah 26:3 KJV

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Just have to remember the him is US and the you is GOD. God keeps us in perfect peace because we trust in him.

If nothing else looking into this verse has helped me memorise it! Hope this helps someone else too…
