Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
Now that you’ve memorized 1 Timothy 4:7b–9, recite the full passage to a friend. Feel free to revisit tips from previous weeks to help seal God’s Word inside of you.
Train yourself in godliness. For the training of the body has limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.

I think this was the best study I’ve done with SRT. It can have a deep impact on every facet of my life and my walk with God. Tina, you did an amazing job of summarizing it for us!
I look forward to starting Daniel with all of you on Monday. ❤️
Amen Lord❤️❤️
Amen!
Good Day Ladies,
This was my first book with She Read Truth (Faith in Practice). This is a very good book and good practices. I have been reading my bible everyday sometimes multiple times a day since I have joined.
May God continue to bless She Read Truth and everyone that is connected to this community.
Glad you are joining us! ❤
Happy Sunday beautiful She’s! Our sweet Tina (so agree Rhonda J) summed our study up so beautiful and I’m taking as a beautiful Benediction upon all of us! Go and read and be blessed.
Hey Shes
Let’s don’t take off the training wheels!
Keep pedaling.
Keep practicing.
Keep pushing.
Don’t put on the breaks.
It’s not perfection.
It’s the process!
He is the prize!
Amen, y’all!
❤️
Tina summed it up so lovely and beautifully. Oh how the WORDS that our Lord hath giveth have such POWER, LOVE, Movement, comfort, and joy! Living words. The more we study the more we understand and they are truly life giving! Indeed, HE knows what our Spirit needs, our hearts devour, and our mind must have to live daily in this so hard world.
As I write this one of my all time favorites plays “Shout to the Lord” by Darlene @%#$@$%#..! But this verse- let me tell you how it speaks to me. I share it now a lot to my groups that I was a fitness professional for over 30 years, and just really loved working out and “training my physical body!” Well, I can also so I did it out of dislike. I hated my little chicken legs as people might say. So I relentlessly worked them on those machines to get them as bigger as they would go, which was not much, but those feelings of not being “seen” as the other girls. The look to have those clothes fit right. And when older, to be seen as “sexy” like the other girls. It’s so sad to see how we are never happy with our bodies. And unfortunately social media, with the rise of selfies made it even way worse. We want to be seen as what the world praises. I saw it in my dear Savannah, that let to the demise sadly. I watched her in Feb take countless pictures in her barley there swimsuit, look at them in rejection, and take more. Never satisfied with ourselves. She was beautiful. And now this wkd being with my 11,13,and 14 year old granddaughters and seeing how they judge themselves, the clothes they wear, and the talk—it really saddens me where they get their identity from.
The thing is we do need to take care of our bodies. There is the other side of the coin where people are gluttonous and eat and eat. The wrong foods, all empty of nutrients and full of negative results on our bodies. We are sedentary without working the body as it needs. We are such an unhealthy group of people, larger and sick than at any other time.
So we have to take care of our bodies, they matter to be able to live out a long, healthy, productive Godly life! BUT, I always say, and which was my point (lol) that I wish I would have taken care of my Spiritual health as I did my physical body. NOTHING, I say NOTHING, NOTHING is more important than consuming God. Working for God. Growing and learning in God. Walking with him daily. He needs to be our priority. An eagerness daily to have his sustaining power tangible and palpable. Loving him deeply and knowing his work in my life. Seeing him through all situations knowing his guiding force and real care.
For he is my Creator. And therefore my master, my Father, and custodian. He’s the janitor cleaning me up daily. He’s my dad that cares for me like his dear daughter.
He moves mountains for me, parts the seas, slays the Giants, and holds me close. My safe place, my anchor in the Storm, the shelter. Can you imagine relying on ourselves? I can’t. “Thank God I Do” by Lauren Daigle says it well. Thank God I know HIM! He calls to everyone of us and draws us to him. But we have to listen. And we have work to do for our part. This study covered them so well. Reading the word is life changing to a Christian walk, everyday, on your own, than studying with others or a commentary, meditating and memorizing. Putting it deep in your heart.
Prayer (and listening), Praise and Worship with other believers, community, and gatherings. Sharing meals, breaking bread, rememberance. Resting in Sabbath.
The steady flow and walk of a Christian…And you will know them by their fruits!
Amen..Thank you Lord!
Have a good Sunday! I hope to worhip in church with my son…but it’s hard to get moving EVEN after I just said all that!!!
Love ya’ll! My sisters in Christ!
I agree. My spiritual health needed more attention than my physical when I was younger.
❤️
Train yourself in godliness….
Use all the practices, disciplines and things we have studied on, learned wrestled with, been challenged with. Apply it and respond. Have a softened open heart to be trained.
Transform and train our hearts, minds, and bodies Lord to be more like you. May you honored and glorified as we seek to be ones who call your Lord and Savior. As we gather in community today may your name be praised. Amen
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” Psalm 100;4
Praying for all your requests. SRT sisters. Have a wonderful day❤️
Shout & sing! What a summing up & summon to action, Wendy B!!
Amen! Praying for all today! Keep taking that next step!
Amen
The future hope found in Micah 4:1-4 gave me encouragement today.
“In the last days, the mountain of the LORD’s house will be the highest of all— the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the LORD’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem. The LORD will mediate between peoples and will settle disputes between strong nations far away. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore. Everyone will live in peace and prosperity, enjoying their own grapevines and fig trees, for there will be nothing to fear. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies has made this promise!”
(NLT)
.
May your worship gathering be a balm for your soul today.
This was so encouraging, I’ve never really sat with these verses before❤️❤️
This made me think of and go listen to the song House of the Lord by Phil Wickham!
❤️
Loved reading this verses. thank you for sharing ❤️
“… he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For the LORD’s teaching will go out…”
NO thing” to fear.
Thanks, Kelly! ❤
TRAIN YOURSELF IN GODLINESS.. live the new life, study the Word, store it in your heart. Be in fellowship, and be accountable to one another. Pray at all times, in the bad and the good. Be obedient to what you have heard and read in the Word, be in service to your neighbour and those around you, never wanting anything in return, for Father God sees you, and He will honour you in His time.
.
FOR THE TRAINING OF THE BODY HAS LIMITED BENEFITS, BUT GODLINESS IS BENEFICIAL IN EVERY WAY.. as we meditate and memorise His Word, fasting as a way of holding fast, and observing the Sabbeth as a day to commune and rest in the Lord God. We may lament, when we are sorrowful or in pain, BUT GOD.. is ever present and faithful.
.
SINCE IT HOLDS PROMISE FOR THE PRESENT LIFE AND ALSO THE LIFE TO COME.. celebrate well in all things, for everything here on earth is a gift from GOD, in celebrating, worship the One who loves and keeps His promises to us, never leaving nor forsaking, confess and submit to Him who is gracious and faithful, honest and true. Give, as He gives to you, for what He gives is not to be stored but shared.
.
THIS SAYING IS TRUSTWORTHY AND DESERVES FULL ACCEPTANCE.. Often, in solitude and silence, listen for His voice, it may be a whisper, or a blow of the wind, or a precious vision, BUT GOD, is never far away, present. Live life in simplicity not because GOD doesn’t want the best for you, but because HE does, and in that thinking, live a pure life, refrain from things that are wrong, be morally pure, knowing in being so, God is with you..
Mostly, live in rememberance of what GOD has done in every aspect of your life, even when you can’t remember, HE has been and continues to be your greatest and most gracious cheerleader.. He is and will forever be your faithful GOD..
.
AMEN.
.
Happy Sunday my people, be blessed this day the LORD has made, and remember, YOU are His masterpiece, whatever your journey and He holds you, as do I in prayer..
Much love,
Tina ❤️
