Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
As we survey the New Testament, we’re memorizing Acts 13:27–31. This week, we’ll work on adding verse 28. Each day, revisit this verse and say it aloud at least two times. See if you can recite both verses 27 and 28 from memory by the end of the week.
27 Since the residents of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize him or the sayings of the prophets that are read every Sabbath, they have fulfilled their words by condemning him. 28 Though they found no grounds for the death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him killed. 29 When they had carried out all that had been written about him, they took him down from the tree and put him in a tomb. 30 But God raised him from the dead, 31 and he appeared for many days to those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.

I forgot to share something funny..Last night I dreamed I met many you wonderful She’s…I remember I couldn’t put a face to any of you just trying to connect your “names” here to you in my dream..
I’ve already forgotten it..
But I remember “Searching” being there and I kept calling her searching and people didn’t understand what I was talking about and who I was “searching for…” lol.
I wish I was one that could retain things I dream, but never have.

First, thank you all for praying. Tom is still improving and they hope to get the ventilator off in a few days after the impella is removed. He was alert for a bit followed commands. I told him what his brother said, he called him an old scutter. He definitely understood and reacted. We always say love you more and he has to say most and get the last word. I told him I love you more most and that I win and he tried to mouth something. I’m sure it was most! I am so overwhelmed with gratefulness at God’s hand through every moment of this. His nurse has only him to care for and a whole team that helps. Thank you she’s!

Hmmm, how many “Christians” show up at church every eeek, but never HEAR (receive into their heart) the Word before them?!
James tells us to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. That means allowing the Word to penetrate our heart mind, and soul so that it pours out of us in our good works and thoughts- not just casually “hearing” as in “in one ear and out the other”.

What would we do without all these accounts recorded for us…and that has stood for over 2000 years?! Pretty amazing, yet people still try to argue and disclaim the written word! Why can’t people just simply read and see? Why do they/we find it so hard to trust in the accounts, written by God himself. Every word is supposed to be there. Every word has wisdom for us and matters.
Speaking of, why do few of Christians themselves read the word. Why do we not cherish it. You know our phone is more important that God’s word. We probably wouldn’t go a day without checking our text messages. Or email. or Facebook/IG..tic/to, youtube. …yet Getting in the word…studying it, memorizing, meditating…prayer. The devil loves it. He doesn’t even have to try that hard these days. We conform to the world. We look the same most days.
I am thankful for the day I started reading my Bible. The first year was more of a challenge and hard. I didn’t grasp all but I wanted to. Then I found SRT that made it easier with the studies, the devotion, and your comments that expanded more!! I have read straight through with other studies, and now this overview again- and God just brings more and more insights and wisdom.
We all have a hole, that needs filling by the One who created us, we need rescued. He is my rescue story!

Yes, all is well and better than well and my hat is off to all the moms with littles that study with us! I can study with 1 or 2, but have had 4 littles visiting this week/weekend and will have to catch up by next weekend. I’ve been needed 3 times since I started this reply. Well, 4 times now ☺️ ❤️

When I was with my sister it was hard, I would get up my normal time and be the only one on the outdoor deck. But then my nephew would come out…I always set down my study because I knew in those moments it was more important to be with him. Then it would be hard to find time to go back once everyone was up.
I cherish my SRT in the morning! Even when my husband is off, I have to shhhh! him.

Some years ago, I met a. old colleague in a cafe, we remembered our days working together, and a few names were dropped and asked about. I mentioned a young lady by the name of Becks, and this person said they could not recall her..
..life and soul of a party..” I said, still nothing,
“..she lived above the local pub..” still nothing.
“.. she went out will Bill for a while..” blank look.
I was trying to avoid the obvious, because I did not feel her assets should define her, but I felt i now had to say..”.. she had big bossoms..” You guessed it, his response was.. “i remember her now.., she used to dance on the bar.. great smile.,”

A little giggle this morning, but seriously, when the obvious was/is indeed staring them/us in the face, why do we not see it?
Instead, we continue to live life as though we know best, we do well on our own, that we’ve got this… but have we?
As if those thoughts aren’t enough, we proceed to slap this gift to every sinner on earth, that lived, is living and those to come, JESUS CHRIST, by breaking His heart daily. No different to those back then asking Pilate to have Him killed!

BUT GOD..

No matter the pain we cause Him, and I know i have broken His heart, a whole books worth and then some, He continues to run towards us, blessing as He approaches, arms open, covered in Forgiveness, Grace and a beautiful Hope, and truth, in readiness as He does.

People get ready (as the song goes), prepare, re-read the scriptures, seek/find Him whilst HE may be found (Isaiah 55:6) do not throw Him to the wolves, do not condemn Him.. HE came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). To bring light to a darkened world (John1:5) HE gave Himself to redeem us from our sins and wickedness..(Titus 2:14)
Do not throw away your chance to live, LIVE, and well, in the love and care of Father God..
