Matthew 5:7–10

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize Matthew 5:7–10, the last four beatitudes we’ve studied this week. Try to fill in the blanks from memory on a separate sheet of paper or journal, and go back to Day 1’s Scripture reading if you need a refresher.

“Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.”
—Matthew 5:7–10

Be merciful, when it takes every ounce of your being to do so.
    .
Be pure in heart with an uncompromising desire to please God in all things.
    .
Spread the gospel of peace, thereby being a peacemaker.
    .
If and when you are persecuted, embrace it for the kingdom of heaven is yours.

Happy Sunday She’s, worship Him with a whole heart today. ❤️

It is so hard for me to be merciful especially when I feel “wronged”. I’m just sayin’. Every ounce of my being, indeed! Something I need to work on for sure.

As we seek to abide and keep in step to faithfully walk with Jesus and pursue righteousness, no matter what comes, we will be/are blessed. Recognizing our need for His saving grace and forgiveness, seeking peace, standing firm, bringing comfort – even in trial and hardship we will know the goodness, blessing and joy Jesus brings. As we read through Matt 5, He gives teaching and guidance of how to live, but also reminds us that He is with us, His presence is near. We do not walk alone. Choosing to live for Jesus us the way of blessing❤️

Have a blessed Sunday, SRT sisters. So grateful for this community to learn and grow with.❤️

Beginning today, 9am. America Reads the Bible, on Youtube/CBN you can listen to the Bible being read, outloud, for the next 7 days from 9am EST to 9pm EST…. in Washington DC…. this represents the scriptures in Ezra and Nehemiah, that the Lord’s laws are to be read, outloud, for all to learn and know

Psalm 37:3-6 (or if you have time, read the whole psalm)
    “Trust in the Lord and do what is good;
dwell in the land and live securely.
    .
    Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

    Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act,
    .
making your righteousness shine like the dawn,
    your justice like the noonday.”
    .
What has truly struck me about this study was that Jesus’ words were not new concepts, but the ideas were throughout the OT, the people (including us) just needed to have their eyes redirected toward them to I understand God’s heart for how He wanted them (us) to live.
    .
Be blessed as you gather with your church family today.

In whatever circumstance, good, bad, ugly, not what we hoped for, unimaginable..
When you show mercy, with a pure heart, be the peacemaker, and are persecuted for the truth..
The Lord God, the Almighty Father God, will be near, is near, will show you mercy, He will show you who He is, He will call you by name, show you life beyond the pain, the sorrow, the ‘not fair’, the ‘horror’. He will bring you peace, whilst reminding you that Eternity is yours..
    .
    Blessed.
    .
    Indeed.
    .
    Amen.
