Each Sunday during this plan, we are reading a different hallel psalm and memorizing one of its verses.

This week, memorize Psalm 117:2 as you meditate on the psalm as a whole.

GOOD morning sweeties! Happy SUNDAY! CeeGee and Rhonda mention their song this morning. My song…..Let me start out by saying, “Thank YOU Jesus for a gorgeous morning. The cool air, the sun has just come up, and as I opened up the sliding glass door, the fragrance of the little white flowers from our orange tree entered the room. And then the beautiful music of all sorts of birds can be heard. I want to believe, they too, are saying “good morning” and singing “their praises” to our CREATOR GOD!! I want to believe God gave us beautiful music (instead of an annoying alarm clock) to “wake” us up and sing praises to Him and simply slow down, and enjoy our Sunday unrushed. THIS is one of the main reasons why I enjoy my weekends! AND so thankful I’m off for a week! Love you all SO much!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes!! Great reminder Mari!! I love the birds and sounds in the morning! I have already been visited by my cardinal this morning for his morning breakfast on our deck!! I see up and close! It’s a blessing for his creation, all singing for His Glory!!

    2. Indiana Elaine says:

Oooooo, Orange blossoms smell soooo good!

    3. Cee Gee says:

❤ Well said, Mari! The ‘songs/praise’ of creation! My English Dogwood isn’t blooming yet, but its blossoms smell a bit like orange blossoms I think. I hope last week’s hard freeze didn’t kill its buds. Upper 80’s here yesterday and today!

    4. Wendy B says:

The song of nature, what God’s hand has created is truly beautiful music.

  7. Wendy B says:

This is a great Psalm to focus on for a Sunday when many of us have the opportunity to gather in community and fellowship with all nations and people – our church families. Although we are just a couple hundred people, we are very ethnically diverse, multi generational and a variety of socio/economic backgrounds. It is a rich blessing and joy to come together for the teaching of God’s Word, to worship and praise the great love and faithfulness of the Lord, to lift His name on Him. May our hearts be postured to praise the Lord as we move through this day. Blessings on your Sunday, SRT sisters. ✝️❤️

  8. Cee Gee says:

Chris Tomlin – Faithful (Lyric Video)
    Lyrics:
    Faithful, forever You are faithful
    Father to the fatherless
You uphold the one who feels forsaken
    You are faithful, God
    Faithful, forever you are faithful
    Lover of the wounded heart
You defend the poor and the forgotten
    You are faithful, God

And I will sing to the maker of heaven and earth
God, you reign forever and Your will endure
Faithful and true is the name of the Lord
    You are faithful, God

    Faithful, forever You are faithful
    Shelter for the fragile soul
You lift us up, You hold us all together
    You are faithful, God

You are there in every season of my soul
You are there, You’re the anchor that will hold
You are there, in the valley of the shadows
    You are faithful, God

    Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤

Endures forever! This just hit me this morning. Nothing can stop God’s faithfulness! Not sickness, pain, fear, worry, or the enemy! God is always faithful!

He walks with us through every valley and mountain!

Praying for all! Tauren Wells “Hills and Valleys”

Hills and Valleys (The Valleys Version)” Lyrics
    by Tauren Wells
from the album Hills And Valleys (Deluxe Edition)

    I’ve walked among the shadows
    You wiped my tears away
And I’ve felt the pain of heartbreak
And I’ve seen the brighter days
And I’ve prayed prayers to heaven
    From my lowest place
And I have held Your blessings
God, You give and take away

No matter what I have, Your grace is enough
No matter where I am, I’m standing in Your love

On the mountains I will bow my life
To the One who set me there
In the valley I will lift my eyes
To the One who sees me there
When I’m standing on the mountain
I didn’t get there on my own
When I’m walking through the valley
I know I am not alone
You’re the God of the hills and valleys
    Hills and valleys
God of the hills and valleys
    And I am not alone

I’ve watched my dreams get broken
    In You I hope again
    No matter what I know
    I’m safe inside Your hands

On the mountains I will bow my life
To the One who set me there
In the valley I will lift my eyes
To the One who sees me there
When I’m standing on the mountain
I didn’t get there on my own
When I’m walking through the valley
I know I am not alone
You’re the God of the hills and valleys
    Hills and valleys
God of the hills and valleys
    And I am not alone

Father, You give and take away
    Every joy and every pain
Through it all You will remain
    Over it all
Father, You give and take away
    Every joy and every pain
Through it all You will remain
    Over it all
On the mountains I will bow my life, yeah
In the valley I will lift my eyes
    Ohhh, ohhhh

On the mountains I will bow my life
To the One who set me there
In the valley I will lift my eyes
To the One who sees me there
When I’m standing on the mountain
I didn’t get there on my own
When I’m walking through the valley
I know I am not alone
    No, I’m not alone
I know, I am not alone
You’re the God of the hills and valleys
    Hills and valleys
    God of the hills
    And I am not alone
    God of the hills
    The God of the valleys
God of the hills and valleys
    And I am not alone

    GM She’s!
The song “God Really Loves Us” plays, which is perfect for this verse.
    Partial lyrics-

    I’ve got a friend
    Closer than a brother
    There is no judgement
    Oh, how He loves me
    I’ve got a friend

    And He is my strength
    He is my portion
    With me in the valley
    With me in the fire
    With me in the storm

    Let all my life testify

    Hallelujah
    We are not alone
    God really loves us
    God really loves us
    Hallelujah
    Oh, praise my soul
    God really loves us
    God really loves us

Praying we all feel his mighty love, and when and if we don’t “feel it” we know it to be true from his word.

  13. Cindy Morgan says:

I know what you’re going through because my husband has had cancer twice. Different kinds of cancer, but cancer nonetheless. The word “cancer” is, I believe, the most feared word in the English language. I will be praying for your husband but for you too. Watching the love of your life go through this is so very, very hard & it will be different than it was with your Dad. But I think the most important lesson I learned is this: Some days I would come to the end of the day and be so emotionally, physically and even spiritually drained that I would tell the Lord “I can’t do this one more day.” And, in my spirit I would hear the Lord reply: “That’s okay. I didn’t give you tomorrow’s strength today anyway. I will give you tomorrow’s strength when you need it—which is tomorrow.” Remember: one day at a time is how God gives us His strength. My husband is now in a nursing home with Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia and I’m learning this lesson all over again. May God be with you both!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Oh Cindy, my heart hurts for you as I read through. That he is in a nursing home with such a hard, life-altering condition is life shattering. Lifting you up in prayer and asking God to continue to give you comfort, strength, and wisdom as you continue to walk through this.

    2. Tina says:

Amen Cindy.. I am sorry for your troubles, What peace filling words from God..
      hugs to you Cindy..❤️❤️

    3. AZ Walker says:

Praying for you Cindy and for your husband. Your strength and wisdom is beautiful – He gives us what we need one day at a time. Praying this blesses Maria and others here going thru hard things.

    4. Tami says:

Thank you for sharing! My husband had cancer as well. Thank God he has been cancer free for 10 years but it was so hard in the thick of it. And we were new Christians! One day at a time!

    5. Cee Gee says:

Beautiful testimony, Cindy! Thank you for sharing your caregiver experience and lesson! ❤ Praying for you and your husband. ❤

    6. Lynne from Alabama says:

The Good News Translation says this..
    .
His love for us is strong,
    and His faithfulness is eternal.
    .
    Praise the LORD!
    .
For a day like today, for me, this is ALL I need to know!
Gods love for me, is STRONG, not lukewarm, not ‘neither here nor there’, not dependant on my actions, not earned, not Insipid, wishy washy..
    IT IS STRONG!
    And His faithfulness is eternal..
    .
    ETERNAL!
Lasting forever, having no beginning or end, continues indefinitely, unending..
Nothing I can do or will do,or be can take away Gods faithfulness to me/us!
    .
I shall sit in this verse today knowing
, I am His and HE, He is mine.. until the end of time!
    .
    BUT GOD.
    .
    Hallelujah!
    .

  15. Maria B says:

Good morning, sisters. I come humbly asking for prayers for my husband. We thought that after what we went through with the fire, we would get some respite. But we are entering a new chapter. My husband has not had a full physical exam since he left the Army 12 years ago. And so this past fall, and after much “nudging” from me, he did. The last part of it he finished a week ago— a colonoscopy. He shared with me last night that on Friday, the doctor called him and told him they found cancer cells. My mind is full of thoughts yet blank at the same time. I know part of this feeling is that I was my dad’s caregiver when he had lung cancer, and my mind and body suddenly remembered all of that. Honestly, I never fully grieved after my dad died and all the “could I have done more?” feeling. My husband knows all this, so he was so gentle in telling me. The doctor says that he is confident they will be able to treat it successfully and this gives me a little peace. But honestly, this morning I’m exhausted and my mind feels like it’s moving like molasses. So I guess I need prayers for me as well. I am sorry for dumping all this here, but believe it or not, the first thing I thought after praying last night was “Lord, I wish I could talk to my SRT sisters.” Thanks for the prayers in advance, and continued prayers for all of you.

    1. Susan Burley says:

Praying for you and your husband! May the Lord grant you both strength and peace throughout this time. We are here for you!

    2. Danielle B says:

Lifting up prayers for you Maria as you process this new information with your past grief. I pray you take the time and space for both as you support your husband. I pray for him and his medical team as he goes through the procedures and treatment to remove the cancer.

      1. Rhonda J. says:

        Yes, amen.
So sorry Maria, that must be hard for you. Praying for you, and your husband.

I do love that you needed to share with your SHE’s! What a great tribe we are. Strong in holding each other up when the storms come.

    3. Cheryl Blow says:

Praying for you and your husband!

    4. Tina says:

Maria, joining with sisters in praying for both your husband and yourself..
I am so thankful we are reading through the Psalms right now, because they carry a hope, though they begin with some choice words from David or the Psalmist, they cover us to be real with God knowing, as today verse says..
His love for us is strong, and His faithfulness is eternal.
He is with you and your husband through this journey holding you close, giving you the peace you need to process this situation and not compare with the past..
He is near, as are we, always here as sisters to walk alongside each other.
Much love covered in much prayers..
      xx

    5. Ada M says:

Praying for you and your husband!

    6. Rebecca W says:

Joining our sisters in lifting you and your husband in prayer. “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Psalm 62:1-3❤️❤️

    7. Leanna Thompson says:

Dearest Marie, praying for you and your husband. I think I have shared this before:
Years ago my mother went for her colonoscopy. The gastroenterologist found cancer. We went to an oncologist and a general surgeon to discuss what happens next. The general surgeon stated that a repeat colonoscopy would need to be done so that the area could be tattooed so the surgeon would know what to remove. The colonoscopy was scheduled for Christmas Eve. After she awoke and I was able to see her a different gastroenterologist said there was no cancer. The first gastroenterologist saw something, scraped it for testing and when doing that removed all the cancer. Mom had to have a colonoscopy every year after that for several years and there was never a reoccurrence.

    8. Sandi S says:

Oh Maria, praying for your peace and strength, that He absolutely will provide, and for healing. Thankful that he listened to your nudge and found it where it can be treated.

    9. Wendy B says:

Maria…such difficult news to process and with the lense of the struggles you have walked thru, all the more so. Cancer is a very, very scary word. Praying that the appts, tests and treatment plans would move along quickly with wise direction from the medical team and that all would lead to complete healing for him. May the Lord’s strength, peace and presence be with you both❤️

    10. Rachel (CO) says:

Oh, Maria, I am so sorry for this news. I pray that the cancer will be taken care of with few negative effects. But I also pray that this new crisis provides the impetus to purge your heart of the residual guilt and grief from your dad’s illness and death. What a weight to carry. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤️

    11. Cee Gee says:

Maria, my heart goes outbto you and your husband, but I also rejoice that he followed the prompting to get that full workup and that this was apparently caught early. Praying for wisdom for y’all and the care team as you move forward with a treatment plan and for successful removal/treatment/recovery.
Yes to your question, Maria, because I have that same thought when I am troubled! You can for sure lean on us!❤
      God bless you all!

Praise the Lord! I felt like the beginning was the hardest, the shock of the dx, all the dr visits and coming up with a treatment plan. But God carried us through and now my husband uses his experience and his testimony to minister to others. I pray the path forward will be made clear quickly! Keep us posted.
