Open Your Bible

Acts 2:37-39

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

As we’ve read Acts together, we’ve been memorizing a portion of Peter’s sermon in Acts 2. Test your memory by seeing if you can fill in the blanks as you say the verse aloud.

37 When they heard this, they were _______ to the heart and said to _____ and the rest of the ________, “Brothers, what ______ __ __?” 38 Peter replied, “______ and be ________, each of you, in the name of _____ ______for the ___________ of your sins, and you will receive the ____ of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the _______ is for you and for your ________, and for all who are ___ ___, as many as the Lord our God will ____.”
—Acts 2:37–39

Good morning sweet She’s! Loved walking through Acts with all of you. Looking forward to this Lenten study!! The sun is UP and beautiful. Going to enjoy every bit of it before the rain. Happy Sunday and see y’all tomorrow.

I have something honest to admit. I don’t love reading Pslams. There are some of them I do love. But I’m not a poetry person, and I find myself very bored just getting through it.
So get this, my church is doing A Year through psalms. Every Sunday is a psalm.

And now we SRT are doing All of Psalms for Lent!

So CLEARLY God is about to do something with my heart toward the Book. I pray I’m not stubborn and too ‘bored’ to hear Him❤️

    1. Mari V says:

Aw…Mollie, I love your heart posture! And keep joining us here so we all grow together.

    2. Adrienne says:

It will be interesting to see if your thoughts toward this book will change. ❤️

That kind of makes me chuckle at the way God brings things right in front of us when we may be resistant or not interested. He’s just saying, “Mollie, I have this for you.” May you be pleasantly surprised in unexpected ways :)

May we be cut to the heart of any sin in our lives and be bold to share Jesus wherever we go!

    Praying for all today!

    1 John 4:15-17 NLT
15 All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

    Partial lyrics:
It’s so kind it leads us to repentance
It’s so bright the darkness has to flee
Hallelujah it cleared my guilty sentence
For I was bound but now I stand redeemed

For what could break the chains of any prison
What force could rob the power from the grave
What would trade my rags for heaven’s riches
    Only the love of God
Singing oh how great is the love of God
He paid our debt on that rugged cross
For all our days we will sing our Savior’s praise
How great is the love of God …

Singing Oh how great is the love of God
He paid our debt on that rugged cross
For all our days we will sing our Savior’s praise
How great is the love of God

GM! I am sad for that study to end, but really excited for Psalm! I honestly have never had a bad SRT study! They are all so good! I finally ordered some colored Bible highlighters and I love marking up an old Bible that my parents gave me for Christmas in 1999, yes, they laid unused for many years! Kinda funny, b/c “Dusty Bibles’ is playing as I write this! It is sad that Iphones are the “can’t live without” that everyone has to have every new model that comes out, kids yearn for one and then stare at them all the time. Scrolling social media rather than the God breathed words to fill the voids. I praise and thank God for his draw for me to get to know him back in 2014 and then finding SRT shortly after! Life-changing, life-giving, life-restoring!! Life breathing.

    1. Adrienne says:

I agree… there has never been a bad SRT study! Some I like more than others, but there are definitely no “bad” ones. ❤️

  10. Carla says:

I have learned so much through this study of Acts, I’ve truly loved this experience and going through it with you all. I cannot wait for tomorrow to being studying Psalms together! Have a wonderful day, Sisters!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Agreed I just said the same thing! Yay!

  12. Kayla Bostwick says:

  13. Kelly (NEO) says:

As we gather in our local chuches today, may we give praise to God for being a part of the Bride of Christ. May we submit to His Spirit to cleanse our hearts and minds so upon His return He will find us “without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that [we] might be holy and without blemish” (Eph. 5:27 ESV).
    .
    Praying for your requests.
Looking forward to studying the psalms to prepare for Resurrection Sunday.

    1. Cee Gee says:

      Amen, Kelly! ❤
