Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
As we read Acts together, we are memorizing a portion of Peter’s sermon in Acts 2. This week, memorize verse 39.
37 When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
—Acts 2:37–39

The promise is real. Amen. Good News is Jesus Christ and He is coming. Thank you Lord for your abundance of grace and your forgiveness over and over. Our debt has been paid even though we could never pay it ourselves. Jesus Christ is Lord. Amen.
I’m almost there I’m having trouble memorizing vs 39
Amen. I appreciate this promise and reminder
“For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” THIS is a promise! Let us keep praying for loved ones to come to our JESUS who loves them SO much! My daughter and I were having another conversation last night (as she was trying to do a heavy load of homework at the same time). One of her assignments was to interview me regarding childbirth. She so sweet and felt bad for me when she was informed it took seventeen hours to give birth to her brother. I went on to say (and she even wrote down on her assignment) that once my son Caleb was born, the pain, “went-away” as I’m sure most of us here can relate. HOWEVER….I was not encouraged to have another child anytime soon (haha). Our conversation continued beyond her assignment. I told her I love her and her brother SO much, that I have to check myself often as to not love them more than my JESUS! I love my JESUS SO much, and right next to my Jesus, Caleb and Alyssa, my two most beautiful children! I went on to say (and she knows this already) I don’t regret getting married to her dad because now I have them. This gave her great comfort as our conversation also included some painful memories of her dad. I’m SO grateful that she and Caleb continued to work on their own relationship with JESUS and they also, do not blame our Father God for what happened to us. God is good!
Amen
As this passage for Weekly Truth is repeated for us again this week it once again really strikes me as such a vivid description of how the truth of gospel can grip and change someone. We have and know this hope, this message that Paul is sharing, it has changed our hearts and by the moving and working of Holy Spirit we can be share with others. I’ve gone back to my previous prayer from a few weeks back to share once again today.
Heavenly Father, we come before you unworthy of the gift of salvation but humbly seeking your forgiveness and desiring to walk with you, to serve you and be devoted to boldly proclaiming your truth, to be the feet that bring good news, the voice that shouts, “Our God reigns!” Show us what to do Lord, we need you. Give us willing undivided hearts, lead us and guide us Father, help us to live in your truth and to be bold, courageous and faithful in sharing that truth no matter what. Thank you for this dear community of SRT sisters, encourage and bless them today. We praise you Lord for answered prayer and bring the requests that are heavy and weighing on many hearts and ask that you move and work in these Lord. Be present with us as we gather in our church communities today, and be especially near to those who for various reasons can not gather today and may feel lonely and distant from the community of fellowship. As we hear your Word, pierce our hearts, change us, transform us, let it take deep roots and Holy Spirit move in our hearts, and as we sing praises may you be honored and glorified. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen✝️

“Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” How? “Repent and be baptized, every one of you for the forgiveness of sins.” Acts 2:40,38
.
This is the message this world needs today. May we be the vessels that spread this great news of the gospel.
.
Praise God someone shared it with me and you – we who were “afar off” and that it will be passed down to our children, our children’s children, and theirs.

I got behind this week. My other Bible studies and life overwhelmed me a bit. Trying to catch up today.
Please pray for my granddaughter as she is in a trial fur Sickle Cell Anemia and is in hospital to undergo stem cell harvest. She needs millions upon millions to be harvested (22 million in all). She only produced 3 million last time and if she doesn’t produce many more this time she’ll not be able to stay in the trial. She stated coughing and sneezing late yesterday afternoon, so we are praying she isn’t getting sick. The just put her port in on Friday and it will be for nothing if they have to send her home.
Praying!

Bblegateway verse of the day. Timely for this eeek’s end:
Matthew 5:43-45 (CSB)
“You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
