Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.
Throughout this plan, we have been memorizing Nehemiah 13:22b, a reminder of God’s heart towards us as we seek to obey Him. This week, commit the entirety of it to memory.
Remember me for this also, my God, and look on me with compassion according to the abundance of your faithful love.
—Nehemiah 13:22b

I had to do a bit of catching up this morning. I missed Friday. Oh it was a big miss. So much goodness in the verses and the devotional. The comments!

When we are struggling, we must return to God’s Word to remember who we are and to whom we belong.
~ I’ll leave it right there.
❤️
What a sweet way to end this study and be reminded of God’s heart and affection for us: He
remembers me, looks on me with compassion with an abundance of faithful love.
Thank you Father. May I be found faithful in my desire to seek and walk with you in accordance to your Word. Amen
Sunday Blessings SRT sisters ❤️
Nehemiah has been a great study! See y’all tomorrow in John, I think.
Amen
Good Morning!
We discussed in group yesterday that we live for an audience of one! Mathew West talked about in his early career that you take whatever gig you can get. So once he had a “concert” scheduled at a college. When he got there it seemed deserted and when he finally found someone in charge he was told “oh yeah, it is fall break, most have gone home. But you can still get paid if you play.” Well, hoping at least some what show up, and needing to get paid he went forward. NOT one person showed up. And he played. He reflected though, that he was playing FOR the Lord, to Praise the Lord. Himself. To give Glory to God no matter how big the audience is. And reflects on that today as he plays venues of thousands.
This was true of Nehemiah, his heart was right and wanted to do right by God for His Glory.
Are we trying to please others in our efforts. Are we trying to be the best for our own glory and titles, and advancement? My leader in jail taught me well, as she prays every week…”Lord, it doesn’t matter how many show up, you bring who you want to be here. And Holy Spirit, you lead the group and let us set aside our own agendas! Oh how I used to be so nervous to lead, I would be sick to my stomach. But I never want to be “so self reliant” that I don’t pray to God to help me.
As a group leader, we usually get about 3 quarters show up, (if that these days), and then many fall off. That can really affect your ego if you don’t know it happens to all. (This is in bigger churches). One of my friends said only 2 showed up for her new group, but after this lesson she knew those two matter.
We should be doing what we do for the Glory of God!! Saying we want his favor sounds kinda weird to me, like reward, but when I see it right here from Nehemiah…I like it! Lord, give me favor as I love to tell people about you! I WANT them to know you like I do. That You are a life changer! The more I know you the more I want to know you more!! I honestly don’t think I could be more in love with him, yet keep growing closer! Deeper. My soul connects to him. My Spirit! The Spirit is in me and Comes Alive with Joy, love, and peace, praise and dancing! And Worship!! Oh I love to go worship on Sunday mornings….and it is time to get moving, so I hope Ya’ll have a beautiful Sunday wherever you are! And remember we serve One! The Almighty Holy God!!!
Great word, Rhonda! Thanks for sharing Matt’s story! ❤
….Your faithful love. And I trust His faithful love. It’s the one and only true love that “can” be trusted as His love never changes and never will.
Could you please pray for a friend of mine. Too much to explain, but I know you all will pray. I will mention there is hurt involved.
From the Plan Summary for Nehemiah:
“The book of Nehemiah is a miraculous testimony to the restoration that occurs when resilient trust in the Lord meets God’s steadfast love. … an ancient story about God’s rescue and restoration of His chosen people.”
.
KELLY- Thanks so much for sharing this:
“For God to remember his efforts more than the results would show the Lord’s compassionate love.”
That statement gives me great encouragement that no matter what situation I can’t “fix” this side of Heaven, the right attitude of my heart will render great reward in Heaven!
.
Remember this good deed also, O my God! Have compassion on me according to your great and unfailing love. Nehemiah 13:22.
.
Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤
Have a blessed day of worship!
Let’s not spend the day ‘stomping grapes’ but in honoring our God. ☺

Life and Breath (new song by Matt Redman)
The beauty of beginning
The spark of heaven’s mind
The voice that called to order
The orbits and the tides
Each galaxy a wonder
Each grain of sand was blessed
A universe created
By the God of life and breath
Verse 2
But Eden fell to ashes
Perfection stained by sin
And all Your children needed
A new way to begin
With love and mercy knowing
This birth would mean a death
You graced the world You made and
You took on life and breath
Verse 3
You walked this earth among us
With healing in Your hands
O who could comprehend it
A God in form of man
For us You poured Your strength out
Til there was nothing left
The cross and nails and thorns that
Would take Your life and breath
Chorus
To the one true, living,
breathing God
Beginning and the end
To the one true, living,
breathing God
Be all the praise, amen
Verse 4
Your lifeless, broken body
Three days inside a grave
The God of light eternal
In total darkness laid
Yet prophecies had spoken
Of what would happen next
Behold the Risen Saviour
Restored to life and breath
Verse 5
Then when I get to heaven
In fullness I will see
The wonder of the Maker
The perfect Prince of Peace
The holiest of all names
There right in front of me
I’ll worship You in this life and the next
The One who gives the gift of life and breath
Don’t think I’ve heard this song, I’ll fix that today! ❤️
Brand new!
We listened & it’s a good one! ❤️

As this week’s podcast pointed out, Nehemiah was in continuous conversation with God as he tried to re-form Israel. For God to remember his efforts more than the results would show the Lord’s compassionate love.
.
So when I consider what God has asked me to do, I pray He remembers my efforts to be faithful and not the results (successful or not).

LYNNE FROM ALABAMA – praying your time in GA was comforting and for safe travels home.
Thank you so much! It was nice to spend time with my sister and niece and I certainly felt like I was able to be a help to them. There are lots of decisions to be made regarding my sister’s care. Prayers for wisdom are needed. ❤️
Praying, Lynne, for the wisdom and guidance needed. ❤️
Praying for you Lynne. You have had so much to deal with
